Returning players

I bet Milan comes back. Likely more $ from NIL than the uncertainties of a second round NBA contract.
Ignorant conjecture:

Don’t worry about overpaying Momcilovic. It can’t hurt to show underclassmen there is a potential payday for sticking around.

I'd rather put $3M in my pocket for a year than try to develop in the G League
To add to this, he will get a TON of attention and good publicity versus playing in front of a few thousand people at best on the Gleague. I hope he does what’s best for him but he’s gonna be a main headline in college bball next season and make 7figures. What a great position to be in for him though!

Either way they have to land a scorer in the transfer portal. As much as I like Toure and Bateman does anyone think they are ready in year 2 to both be 15ppg scorers?
If Milan doesn't come back, a high level portal add is a requirement. But with a younger team and a lot of new players given opportunity to emerge, I could see a very balanced team. For example:

Toure 15ppg
Batemon 12 ppg
Williams 10 ppg
Momcilovic Replace 10 ppg
Pleta 12 ppg
Buchanon 10 ppg
4 Frosh 14 ppg

That's about 83ppg and maybe optimistic. But it right at where ISU scored this year. And Toure, Bateman,Williams, Pleta & Buchanan will all be year 2 under TJ- so expect improvement with familiarity.

No way we’re getting 22 from Pleta and Buchanan.

Another thing to consider, is how much players develop under TJ. He and the staff do a great job developing players yr to yr.

Milan declaring this quickly makes me lean towards him not coming back but who knows. Whatever he does, I hope he decides early so we can get in the portal knowing our next moves.

If we lose JJ, Milan and Lipsey, we should have some room to play money wise.
There’s a withdrawal date in late May they have to meet to go back to school. Probably don’t decide until that date is about here.

Batemon is Dedrick Willoughby 2.0. Huge upside. Up to him or not I d he gets there.

@Bigman38 why would you disagree with this statement? All Juniors who have a slight chance should declare for the draft. You get to go play in camps and get evaluated by pro agents and staff. Then they tell you where you might be drafted and how much you can make compared to coming back to college. It’s the only move he should make right now

Think I fat fingered it, may have had a few drinks while watching bball last night.

Granted the poachers haven't started to throw money around, but I am rather optimistic about our returning (and potentially returning) team for next year.

I don't have much confidence in next years team. If we can't beat a decent team without Jefferson, and we're also losing Lipsey it may be a long year
Take that word “we” out of your flipping mouth…. you are VERY FAR from being able to say “we”. You can say “you guys” from now on please.
