Unless Yonger improved immensely on bottom, I see him getting ridden out for entire periods when going against heavies! He struggles enough against the 197 class.

I think Yonger moving up to Hwt is also real possibility.. Get him up to 230 and he would be very competitive, I think. Certainly more athletic than anyone he wrestles.

He’s really good. 4th at 174,184, and 197.

Wins over Mikey Labriola, Max Dean, Parker Keckeisen, some other elite guys. Went to OT with Olympic bronze Myles amine. Kindof flew under the radar how good he is (if that’s possible for a 3x AA).

I'm not going to get worked up over any of this portal talk. ISU doesn't have the money, results, or buzz necessary to attract anyone of great consequence. We soared on a false wind with our high dual ranking early in the season, but the tourney brought us back down earth. I'm still a big fan and love the guys in the room, but I'm no longer looking for big things around the corner.

There are shades of truth in here but yeeesh…the attitude.

Pretty sure that same approach worked in college and it's still working for the Sanderson Brothers.... and thank goodness it did. Tip for recruits: Wanna be the next Gable or Sanderson just come wrestle for the Cyclones.
