RECRUITING: Mike Rose commits

Might be life changing but not everyone wants or needs that level of discipline in their lives or 4 years of service after school.

A graduate of a Military Academy serves an appointment of a minimum of 8 years, at least 5 years in active duty assignments, then they can choose 3 years as inactive reserve (5 and dive). If the career chosen requires additional training the appointment may be longer.

So yes, that's a big commitment for a 17-18 year old kid to make.

Bumping thread b/c I saw his name on the roster and didn't recall it.

Even though we were his only P5 offer, looks like we got a steal. 6'3, 210 lbs. Top 55 OLB nationally sounds pretty decent. His tape looks impressive, too. Another CMC-Ohio connection recruit. I assume he'll redshirt his freshman year since we're pretty stacked at LB, but I bet he might see some playing time in up to 4 games with the new redshirt rule.

Cyclones. com roster

Rivals ... 3 star

Watching his film after he originally committed had me thinking he's a guy who could grow into an absolute beast on the d line. Not that I think he can't play lb he just looks like he could probably put on a decent amount of weight and still move just fine. Either way, I think he's going to be a dude for us.
