RECRUITING: Hans Brase sets official visit (COMMITS)

I'm waiting for the standard, "We're hearing that his visit is going very well."

Then, one of three things will happen. He'll commit within a day or two, he'll commit within a couple of weeks, or he'll commit to another school. ;)

Info during and immediately after a recruit's visit doesn't seem to reveal very much, unless there are strong rumblings of an imminent commitment. I'll hold my breath waiting to read a report saying it is a terrible visit and he isn't going to commit.
There was one exception. Evidently, the Adam Woodbury visit was a terrible visit.

It worked out for the best, though. He didn't want to go here. Hoiberg didn't want him. Cyclone fans got 4 years of entertainment.

Does somebody have the "Buzz, your girlfriend, wolf" GIF from Home Alone still...?

And an inbounds right off his butt. Thanks, Mr. Kane!

Aw, memories. That one is really high up on the "dumb things Hawkeyes did against us" list.

Vandenberg throwing that late pick to Jake Knott -- ripping the hearts out of 70,000 people in "historic" Kinnick Stadium -- was pretty awesome in that regard.

The best part was that is was 9-6. They had a field goal in their pocket. Run a safe play or two and at least they have the attempt -- NOPE, WE SUCK, THROW A PICK!

The whole Iowa football team losing to one of the worst Iowa State teams in a generation in 2014 was pretty good. Particularly the part when Kirk called a timeout, Cole missed it, and then he drilled it on the second attempt. I do not know how they did not fire him after that.

Drew Tate knocking himself out cold while trying to tackle Steve Paris after an interception in 2005 happened right in front of me. That was golden. 23-3. GTFO noobs.

Just in case the future Iowa coach forgets how much he sucks...

Brian Ferentz snapped the ball over Tate's head in shotgun formation. Tate and Young both hesitated as they closed in on the ball, as if thinking the other would jump on it, and Iowa State's Jason Berryman swooped in to recover it at the Iowa 12 with 7:15 left in the first quarter.

OOPS!

I'm not sure that was Vandenberg.

Since when is a 50 yard FG a gimmee? The line of scrimmage on the pass that was intercepted was the ISU 32.

Alright, alright, "in their pocket" was strong wording but...

-- they had an attempt, at least
-- they were driving like crazy before that
-- a completion or two and the percentage on that goes way up
-- this video is just too good to be true even five years later...
