Spending his own money to come here is a clear sign of interest as opposed to being wined and dined on ISU's dime. You don't spend that kind of money without genuine interest. many players don't even use all their officials. Not disagreeing, but why do you say that? I mean, couldn't taking an official mean we were definitely a top interest of his and he wouldn't mind using up one of his official visits on us? Obviously its good news in that it doesn't count against our two year total of officials we can use. Was Lathon's visit to us and Northwestern official or unofficial?

Spending his own money and time in the summer to visit is not a small thing. I don't think you can do officials at this time of year, so if I am correct, Latino's visit was on an unofficial.
You worry/freak out about many things. This is something to be happy about. Would you rather he not visit us this summer and go to some other schools, fall in love, and then never do a visit (official or not) here?
I dunno, to me it just shows his seriousness in us. He's most likely saving his official visit for us for a later date, like a football game or something. You don't see most of these recruits take an official visit and then later take an unofficial visit to the same school.
It just means he's more likely to see our campus twice rather than just once.
I also have a really good feeling about his visit this weekend. It seems like things have really ramped up with Tyler in the past few weeksThe extended unofficial trip, to me, is a very good sign. Based on nothing more than my opinion, I wouldn't be surprised if by this time next week he's committed to us. I'd guess that he wants to use his official for a big Saturday game. That's what I'd do anyway.
I most definitely am not, I'm just aware of how much a disadvantage that puts you at, and I dont even play again B12 size. Are you also one of the best shooters in the 2018 class?

IDK if Prohm guarantee's playing time, but I do think that he has been really pitching him hard on getting the most out of his abilities and getting him to the next level.I'm guessing that he's being pitched that he'd be a near lock to start alongside Wigginton next season. The kid is a fantastic shooter and his perimeter game will be much needed.
i don't think it seems like that big of a deal that it's unofficial

I believe the Cam Payne connection has really spurred things in the right direction for us, but I may be getting ahead of myself.
I think if there is one thing that we won't have to worry about, it is Prohm being legitimately in on top-tier PGs almost every season.
Oh, I don't know, and didn't mean to disprove/disagree with your point. I just thought I remember hearing Prohm say he doesn't guarantee playing time, that every person has to come in and still prove it, even Lindell. Although, I know most coaches probably just say that more than anythingHonest question: Who would start alongside Wigginton then?

The length of the visit is eyebrow raising. Almost all unofficial visits are day trips or an overnight at most. Tyler is coming Friday - Sunday which means he's paying for travel, two nights hotel, all his meals, etc.
I'm not saying the kid is going to commit to ISU this weekend but to make that kind of financial decision to check out ISU tells me that him and his family are very interested.
