If Bridges decides to leave the state, I like Iowa States chances. Otherwise my money is on sparty.

Kentucky and Louisville still on his list though. I'd feel better about chances with Cassius Winston if he leaves the state. His top 5 is MSU, Michigan, Iowa State, Marquette and Pitssburgh.

@VerbalCommits: 2016 Stevens Point (WI) F Sam Hauser has received an offer from Iowa State. (HT @WisBBYearbook) http://t.co/Gr2gW0iPOW

Want. This is all TJ. These are the kinds of kids we need to be getting. Believe me I love the fact that two years running now we've been in the top 5 for a McDAA but we aren't getting them. Need to get back to landing more kids in the 50-120 ranking range. I think we've got 9-10 offers out to kids in the top 100 for 2016 class....that's great now just land 2-3 and we are set.

He did say top 5 in order and we were tops out of Michigan.

I'm not worried about the starters. I'm sure just simply not being BDJ's room mate would help him improve. I think what most of us are concerned about is front line depth. Like it's been mentioned, foul trouble or injuries on that front line and we are screwed, especially before Burton gets back. And even with him we don't know if he has the type of skills to even play the 3/4 positions effectively. Bottom line is we need another big, need one bad. Look at the NCAA tournament, all the teams that went far had multiple effective bigs they could bring in.

Playing devil's advocate here, BUT - we had depth this PAST year and didn't use it!

Bridges seems to have a really close relationship with Monte. Hopefully that Flint connection pulls through for us. It'd be pretty incredible to watch Monte run some breaks with Bridges and Burton on the wings. That's some serious athletes right there.

Went an watched some of his highlights. He has a shot very similar to Matt's. Great looking shot.

Tough to tell from highlights only, but in this video, he doesn't look all that impressive to me. Doesn't get real high on his shot, looks almost like a set shot, whereas Matt gets up a lot more. Also doesn't look overly athletic on his drives. But, as I said, that's just based on this one video which could be totally off re: his game.

I was really hoping that Miles would be a cyclone given Grayer is his mentor and our success with Flint players. Sounds like MSU is team to beat for sure. MB is going to be one hellavu stud, kid can flat out play ball.

Enlighten me.
It was a quick last minute fix for the hire since surgery was imminent. Did not have time to do more. Otz may be doing this as a favor to Fred. For the lead recruiter moving back, I would have expected more than one year, especially if you will be doing the heavy pulling while Fred recovers. Was MA under one year contracts?

The best thing about that Bridges article is he says we plans to decide in September, so we will know earlier than the last two studs we were after.

I sincerely doubt you uproot your family, move across country, as a favor to someone. And it's very common for assistant coaches to be on 1 year contracts, the question was posed to Travis Hines when he released the contract information.

This has been discussed. 1 yr is standard.

That's what they all say this far out. Pretty sure Diallo and RV pushed their commitments back multiple times, so I wouldn't put a lot of stock into that as a firm date. At least with Grayer's involvement, I have a feeling we'll know where we stand all along.

The odds of us pulling him out of Michigan with MSU and Mich both prioritizing him are pretty slim, IMO.

RV never set a date, He kept teasing us with a top 13, then top 10, top 8, back to top 10, top 5, top 7 and on and on. Diallo never said anything about a date other than sometime in April, and then before or after the Jordan Brand classic.

I'd be surprised to get Bridges out of Michigan too, but I'd love if he made up his mind in September.
