This suckkkkkkks! And, we have to face him, too. Don't want to hear any more about Ford or Drew not being able to coach. They always have great recruits and even Self admits that is what counts, much more than X's and O's.

I bet he still takes his visits and then changes his mind

Humor here? Or you think this? After reading his article, I would bet you're wrong. Loves Ford, facilities, and close to home. Hope he doesn't waste one of our official visits if he's fully entrenched at OkSt. Just sayin....

Oh simmer down. They are so far the superior recruiters. Fred, so far, is the superior coach. We've held our own with them.

Recruiting matters and so does coaching. Jesus, Iowa State fans are so annoying. We can bash our own, but you dare say anything bad about another team....

Simmer down?... haha Okay. Point taken. Actually, I've agreed with the coaching (or lack of) for years. Wasn't my point of bashing anyone who felt that. Just pointing out that those two guys can reel in the talent, and obviously their recruits think they can coach.

OSU has distance, facilities, tradition and some big name players. At least he's not a 2014 prospect because at least we have time and two different classes to work on his position.

Recruits will talk everything about the school up right when they commit. That has never stopped them from changing commitments before. Unless he's acting like Niang, Matt Thomas, Lazard, Aka, or BigDawg on twitter there is no reason not to try getting him still.

I feel like we have a great shot with Macura. He will be the fall back from Vaighn but a solid player none the less

Jaylen Johnson is on campus right now.
Oh? He would be huge! Then I would be happy with 1 or 2 of the following.
Vaughn
Cunningham
Abu
Macura
If we can't land the high ranked talent Fred is chasing, mine as well bank for a transfer or Juco.

The word I keep seeing with Johnson is 'versatile.' Sound like a Hoiberg big man?

Of course, I'm not sure on the context. Can he step out and shoot or does it mean he can play with back to basket/face up?

Either way, I want him. He looks like a late riser in the rankings a la Niang and Thomas and was offered by Izzo.

Considering the rate of transfers or jucos available each year, I get the idea of "banking" a scholly for those players who might sign later. But considering someone usually leaves, for assorted reasons, I'd be shocked if we ever bank a scholly.
