Really stupid taunting call.

He started high stepping at about the 10 for a brief second. It was a dumb call, but he definitely started celebrating before going into the end zone.
It’s not excessive to anyone who watches actual football games. That call is never made, for good reason. Hell it was barely even a celebration.
My favorite part was they flashed to Campbell and the announcers were talking about how well he was taking it internally and then they flashed away and flashed to him and he’s just screaming and yelling and swearing and they were like “oh, he’s not taking it so well internally anymore.”
But not excessively. The penalty is called that for a reason. It was a dumb call because it was the wrong call.
Honestly i was way more upset about the half dozen non holding calls on the OSU O line and the picked up flag for def holding that was clearly holding.
It was a fkn insane call. I cant believe the ref even called it. There was no player close to him , who was he even taunting. Looked like he was celebrating that he was that open.

There was NOTHING like that in today's game or ever since.
There's close bang-bang 50/50 whatever you want to say calls and then there's THAT.
Not to defend the ref because the call was weak AF but context is important… the game was getting very chippy in the 2nd QTR and IMO the refs decided to get control of this at halftime. Who knows how much chatter was going on and what they were saying in the lead up to this play.
Easily one of, if not the weakest call I've seen in any game all season. Just pathetic.
I loved the offense going right back to X 2 of the next 3 plays, though. Get our man his TD back.

I didn’t feel like it got chipper until after that. Just a lot of good, hard hitting.
It definitely made it worse. And it absolutely set to crowd to ‘hostile’.
But there were a lot of after the play skirmishes and players needing separated late in the 2nd QTR. the announcers even commented on it a couple times.
Some of the most violent collisions I saw all day.
The type where I was glad to see Hall get back up type of hits.
It doesn’t matter though. It was not even close to excessive celebration by the usual standards.
