If I were Oregon (or Washington) I’d be broaching the subject of unequal revenue sharing at this point. They have nothing to lose by doing so now I would think.

The Big10 has agreements with FOX, NBC and CBS as part of their existing deal for a 16 team conference.

If the Big10 would add Oregon, Washington or any other teams, where would those games be shown on linear TV? One of the Big10's existing partners would have to provide the linear timeslot. NBC Universal has USA and CBS has TBS/TNT.

Otherwise Oregon, Washington and the other 16 Big10 members are pushing the additional Big10 inventory to BTN, Peacock or Paramount+.

Big12 would seem to have a similar challenge in adding the corner 4. Obviously ESPN has a need for a late Saturday game, but would FOX after to a pro-rata and put a Big12 game or 2 on FOX. If FOX doesn't want more Big12 content, then that opens the door for Yormark to speak with Apple,.Amazon or a Big10 partner in NBC or CBS.

Obviously these moves wouldn’t happen without approval from the media partners. Well it’s a go from ESPN, but yes Fox or someone else would have to agree.

PAC deal not expected until “late spring/early summer” now per reports. That’s the latest big nugget imo.

Would agree 100% the timing is interesting. Even if he continues to consult, usually not great to lose long-term employees at a crucial time during negotiations.

He's been around the Pac12 longer than GK, so maybe they are on different pages. Afterall, this guy was with Larry Scott when they launched Pac12 Network. Maybe GK feels they need a different perspective or area of expertise or relationships to get a deal Pac12 Presidents can live with.

Two weeks ago, a new TV deal was going to be released in the next few days to a week, now it again been postponed until late spring to early summer. The 4 corner schools have to be wondering, what the hold up is now?

If the Pac12 had a truly great deal on the table, they would have announced it, the schools have got to be feeling that there is no deal out there that is close to what the B12 already has in hand, and the commish is trying to buy some time before he is forced to tell the schools the truth.

Hoping for a miracle and getting one is two totally different things.

Not at all a fair comparison. Before New Coke, Coco-cola had a popular product that people liked. Releasing New Coke made them angry that they ruined it. The PAC never really had a product that people really wanted. So the PACN has been more about apathy than anger.

To me, it's more like Coco-cola Starlight. Coke released it and everyone collectively asked, why? It's something that maybe you'd try once to see what it's about, but it was never anything that you'd go back to over and over again. Eventually it went away and no one really noticed.
