Duh!
So, this means from ESPN, since you'd expect FOX to have that ready given it made the USC move.

And ESPN may not have been planning to bid on the entire conference, at least not this year, and certainly not without UCLA/USC.

We'll see how much ESPN wants to overspend to prevent the Big 12 from being the 3 in P"3"
That last sentence is my biggest fear!

Before you ask that question, first ask the question of how many properties FOX has sold off to Disney over the last decade or so - the parent company of ESPN.

Fox… cost cutting moves (dumping UFC/USGA/etc), ditching TNF a year early ($660 million + $200 million loss), letting Buck/Aikman walk which will save them about $160 million over five years is pointing to a massive offer as they are realigning priorities. They decided a while ago to go all in on the B1G.

The ACC is gonna break up for sure, they are getting paid less than Big 12. The leftovers are scrambling not to get left out, many are calling for B12 as we speak. Its a game of musical chairs. Valuations for all assets is going down, the 4 corners is as good as gone, more money and access to the coveted midwest and great plains. its a no brainer.

Article on Pac12 expansion.

Rumors of Amazon and other networks being interested would be nice, and I also think it helps make the Big 18 being Pac6 to Big 12 is more valuable than Big 12 to Pac10, as it gives the Big 12 country reason to watch some late night spots that the Pac in the past had to rely on the apathetic west coast, and it won't have as much competition as the prime P2 spots. Clearly the BIG will try to keep it as much as possible with 2 teams, but their buy in is so high, they could not add much Pac time zone.

“There is really no more water that can be squeezed out of the rock,” the media industry source said. “The value of any individual school that’s outside the Pac-12 — while some might have slightly more than others — is minuscule.”

Why? Because of their value, or lack thereof, on the most profitable broadcast platform: over-the-air television.

“Look at it this way,” the source explained. “There are only so many window openings on the schedule. Those are going to be filled by the big brands, no matter which league they’re in. Because they have more than others, the Big Ten and SEC are going to take most of them.

“Then other big-brand games like Clemson-Miami or Oregon-Washington, are going to have a place in those windows.

“(But) Cal vs. Oregon or San Diego State vs. Arizona is going to find a secondary platform, where the bulk of (college football) is going to be.

“Unless (expansion involves) a school that can find its way to the main-platform windows, its value is the same as the others in the bulk bin.”

The alliance between the pac and acc is being spun to save the Pac but its much more about the ACC. They can do almost nothing to sweeten the pot for their current members, this feels like they are trying to squeeze out every dime they can.
The last alliance didn't do so well for the PAC 12. The ACC will stab them in the back too at the first opportunity.

yeah over the air is so crucial, its what builds fans for generations to come, big 12 has to get slots on cbs or nbc for football, and I think they can, BYU Utah, OSU vs ISU, Arizona vs ASU, Baylor vs TTech, WVU vs Cinci Etc. could all be good primetime games.

Yes, see gif above.

Also saw another one live in person last year at a local pool.

It is exactly a perfect example of that fanbase.
I always thought the photo that encapsulates Hawkdom in all its glory is Hawkeye Elvis at the basketball game at North Carolina, with Woody and Gazelle doing an awkward nut bump, some Tarheel with a wtf smirk on his face, and their fans in shock an awe at the weirdness of it all, especially losing to that.

Not exactly sure.

That tar heel is Marcus Paige from Iowa.
