Today was one of those days where you are kinda ticked and relieved at the same time. I agreed to run for this board since no one would, I didn't want to but figured if I said no I had no right to complain since these employees have asked me several times. Go on the ballot against an incumbent (incumbents always win in these elections)who agreed to run at the last minute (only reason I ran was because they couldn't get anyone else, but now they had someone) and find out recounts are happening, so they don't announce anything.
Get ushered into the board room and find out that they had told the other 7 people the winners and losers before going in. Well, I lost and it is awkward when they are looking at you when they announce. Two incumbents were pitted against each other, board Pres tells the losing incumbent (who for some reason was there, probably for a final goodbye), "hey thanks for your time and uuuhhhhh.....friendship" dude gets up and you can tell he's ticked (I think its a doucher way of saying goodbye to him), I get up figuring its a good time to leave this mess. Board lawyer comes over and says thanks for running. As I open door board pres yells from his seat across the huge room, "uuuhhh B (first name only) thanks for running".
Im thinking to myself, hey jackwagons, why not tell me the results and let me leave 30 minutes sooner and avoid this awkwardness. I felt very bad for the incumbent who lost his seat, they basically kicked him to the curb. I ticked how they treated us but WAY more relieved to have lost so I didn't have to spend a few years dealing with them.
