I always thought that Carter Lake should make that road connecting the Omaha airport and Omaha a toll road. Just because.

I looked it up - on the satellite image it sure looks like Sebula is connected to the land at the top with an isthmus.

According to this site it was once connected but isn't now. I agree that on satellite imagery it certainly looks like that is a land connection but their nickname suggests otherwise: Sebula, The Island City.
@cyrocksmypants and @Cyclones_R_GR8 , has either of you seen "You Were Never Really Here"? Just ordered the DVD on Amazon, really looking forward to seeing it.

The Ponca tribe recently put a casino in Carter Lake. For some stupid reason Omaha sued claiming they don't allow casinos in Nebraska and being that Carter Lake is surrounded by Nebraska that should count.
Not really much of a case when the land is owned by Native Americans and in Iowa
Yeah dumb for many reasons but especially because a simple look at the map shows that Carter Lake is not surrounded by Nebraska.

Something else that is interesting just up the road the same issue with Nebraska being on the other side of the Missouri River with Iowa all around it.
