I finally watched the finale to the Great British Baking Show 2018. I'm not as upset as the tabloid youtube clips prepared me to be. The two I thought would win had bad days. It takes just one bad day to loose.

I need to watch the newer season!

On that topic, I made pumpkin bars yesterday and doubled the pumpkin puree as one comment said. I thought it looked kinda wet though and added more flour even though the recipe didn't call for it. They came out kinda........dense. DH was looking at it and said "Mary would be disappointed and say this is not a good bake."

My response was "you're not a good bake" cause I'm hard-hitting like that.

I had to use Daily Motion to see most of them. I have FB acquaintance that was talking about her weekly watching it as her kid free/down time. The thing that struck me was the season she was talking about. I was like, I watched that in a day or two via youtube. All of it. None of this PBS each week stuff.

@cowgirl836 it's always hard when changing recipes. I didn't get to bake this weekend, but chef Z fed me a lot of creative food. I had oatmeal and eggs cold. Oatmeal and eggs warm. Fish and eggs HOT. Waffles and syrup. These all sound normal, but she was using toy fish and marbles for the food. Then the syrup became a flu shot that would kill you.

I almost asked her who told her that that a flu shot would kill someone, but decided it was probably her imagination.

Damn, sloth kicked (kicking) my ass today. Third quarter and it's just running up the score on me. I didn't even put up a fight.

Still in PJ's reading a Kindle book. Had a grilled ham and cheese for mid afternoon lunch and finished off half a pint of ice cream I found in the freezer. Teaspoon curls FTW!

Better, And sorry CG, but i’m pretty sure he’ll be like every three year old:

And this ttu-ou game is good. Ttu scores a touchdown to pull within 2, went for 2, ou intercepted it and returned it for a safety

Not a safety but a defensive PAT. A safety is possible on a PAT but it is worth 1 point. It is extremely rare since defense must turnover the ball either on a block or conventional turnover, have possession outside of the endzone, retreat into endzone and be tackled in endzone or lose ball out of bounds in endzone or hold in endzone. Or conversely a turnover with a the ball returned near the other endzone with the kicking team recovering a second turnover outside their endzone and ultimately retreating back and downed in the endzone. I think they have video of it only happening twice in NCAA and never in the NFL. Interestingly both instances on video involved a Big 12 team.

On a decidedly ISU note I remember an ISU game years ago where ISU was actually in the game. The opposition scored and lined up for a PAT. ISU blocked it and was returning it for a 2 point defensive PAT but as the guy is streaking down the sideline there is ISU's 3rd string QB celebrating 5 yards out onto the field of play. Flag for illegal participation and opponent gets a second chance to score PAT. ISU went on to lose the game of course.

Video of the 2 one point safeties in NCAA:

As mentioned in the KSU video one announcer was working both of these games.

Have seen this before but I got yelled at by the friends of pee-er. "Hey, ladies, I'm not the one in the wrong place in this situation." Apparently they expected no males should use the other empty urinals in the men's room while their friend was occupying a urinal.

As bad as that is, I don't think it is appropriate for a "journalist" to post that picture of someone in the restroom.

I was part of a takeover at Jack Trice eons ago when the Stones were in town. This was before they changed the bathroom configurations to account for how disproportionate the lines were for the separate facilities. We had a line coming out of the women's room and out onto the concourse, and we were watching men go in the opposite bathroom and walk right out two minutes later. We staged a coup. No men were harmed, and most who came to use the facility afterward laughed and moved on the the next men's room.

I'm grateful that facility designers have finally figured out the different needs in terms of bathrooms. :D

We have regularly changed over men's rooms to women's based on the anticipated demographics at my work. Unfortunately the net gain is minimal since only the commodes are generally useful to the ladies and the urinals are lost to everyone. A men's room configuration that has a split design with two entrances and doors that can be closed between the two halves (think of the barn rest area at the Diamond Jo Casino on I-35) with all of the urinals on one side and a most of the stalls on the other side and sinks on both sides would be ideal. Then the all stalls side could be changed over to women's room while the mostly urinal side could remain a men's room.
