Went to an auction in town, there was a John Deere B that was basically completely stripped down, but looked to have most of the parts with it. Went for $500. Back tires went for $200. Kinda wish I would if bid on it. Dad has one he got from grandpa when he passed away, its his baby. Would have loved to have one of my own. Not sure what I would have done with it, but I would have figured that part out.

Pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop ....... :)

These were the tractors everyone had when I was a little kid riding with my dad on his rural deliveries. I remember being sort of scared of belt driven auxiliary stuff running off of the big flywheel/pulley wheel. You'd have the pop pop pop pop of the tractor and the flapping of the belt.

Two bizarre calls in the last few minutes. Chicago number, called me first. I answer, and hear "Ni hao!" followed by a spate of Chinese. I hang up and block. Less t han a minuts later, Lew gets the same call.

I’ve had two recent calls -let them go to voice mail - also Chinese. They are blocked.

Random discussion from work yesterday: Is maple syrup a condiment? The consensus ended up being yes, but that then started a discussion on whether or not butter was a condiment...

And yes, my boss was out of the office all day.
Both are condiments what else would they be.

I on the other hand am at Torrent Brewing watching the end of today’s Nebraska beat down, brought to you by Purdue.
We got here just in time for seats at the bar. Oktoberfest new beers and Cyclones football-can’t beat it!

The only thing I had planned for today was to mow the lawn but mother nature had different ideas. So instead I took the opportunity to drive around rural Story County with my camera. At least I got a good picture of Iowa's state flower!
