I may have whined about this before. People who leave several car lengths back from another car at stop lights annoy me. YOU ARE NOT EFFICIENTLY USING SPACE! One car length sure but 2-3 car lengths of space while traffic backs up behind you....come on man!

Good rule is being able to see the tires and some pavement over the hood for stopped space.

Not sure why it's a big deal though--takes a second per car to get moving and being 10 feet further up makes hardly any difference in getting anywhere any faster.

Now the people that are tail gaiting or following less than a second behind traffic while moving: they're morons in waiting.

Especially when they are blocking access to a turn lane...

Daycare update, they called very apologetic and said they had changes to 4 to 6 bases on parent feedback but it must have taken the website a while to update. I didn't point out the reminder email and that i looked at the website sitting in the empty parking lot. I was mostly concerned about when we'd get to meet them and such and that's all separate anyway so that is good.

“Man” is the operative word here.

Yep, I read this is what limousine drivers do to ensure they can move if traffic is stopped in front of them. I’ve it ever since. Makes me nervous to be any closer:

Helps to make sure you stop in enough space in all situations, helps if the car in front rolls back, and helps to establish following space easier.

I think it even helps in the winter--if I'm looking for that kind of space, I'll slow earlier.

Pretty sure it's like 12-13 feet distance for most full size cars/sedans so definitely adequate without letting anyone else in.

We just laughed our way through "The Predator". Fairly typical plot line, but the "unit" fighting the Predator was a hoot. :D

Like, the new one? I was hoping they would actually be funny.

I wondered if they could ever pull it off to make one from the Predator's perspective but make it funny.

It definitely had us laughing out loud more than once.

I also spent the whole movie thinking one of the guys was James Remar, only to find out at the credits that it was Thomas Jane. Man, he's aged...

It wasn't from the Predator's perspective, though.

Maybe . . . .;)

And my husband’s shirt is not mint, either. That was mine. I guess I didn’t break a sweat. :p

1200 miles in the last 4 days oh well done until tomorrow.

With the twins game tomorrow evening would the train be the better option to get to the gamewatch?

Or the ramp per Marcus the owner of Darby's:

"Just a heads up, there is also a 6:10 Twins home game that day, but I was able to get half price parking for all of you in the ramp adjacent to Darby's for the watch party! Just $6! However, since the credit card machine for this will be set at $12 for the home Twins game, just make sure you bring cash and let the attendant know that you are parking specifically for the watch party at Darby's and he will then charge you the $6 cash rate. Feel free to call Marcus at Darby's (612-746-5064) with any questions."

Went to an auction in town, there was a John Deere B that was basically completely stripped down, but looked to have most of the parts with it. Went for $500. Back tires went for $200. Kinda wish I would if bid on it. Dad has one he got from grandpa when he passed away, its his baby. Would have loved to have one of my own. Not sure what I would have done with it, but I would have figured that part out.
