When I got home from work yesterday I looked in the fridge and there were carrots and dip. I started eating it and remembered that you said 2 of the first 3 ingredients were dairy. I checked and, sure enough, cream and skim milk. That dip was pretty tasty. I feel bad for you. Hopefully the little one just needs the digestive system to develop a bit more. With babies you just don't know but things usually turn out great. Our third child was fussy and crabby for 4 years. Now that she's 12, she might be the most positive-minded person that I know. That could be changing now that she's encountering math that is actually challenging for her.

I haven't even lasted a day yet. Which is probably terrible. Dh and i think it's just immaturity and him liking to be held a lot. I'll stay reduced as he's been less Grunty the past couple days but we don't know if it's the less dairy, caffeine, giving probiotics, or just time. My bet is the latter as i read a lot of Grunty babies improve after 8 weeks.

Here's some advice for the competitive side of you. Baby's first word is almost always Da-Da because it's easy to say. Whether he says Mom or Dad first will become a competitive event between DH and yourself so start practicing Ma-Ma with him early.

Clarification (and see the link as confirmation): dada is more of a babbling sound and not a true word, so as a mom I did not count that as talking.
And fyi, my grandson can't get say "Grandma" but he sure knows how to say "Mmmaaa" when he sees me on Facetime. His dad is "dat!"

The only regret I'll have: 30 minutes before the Dean arrived, a student started our pre-class socializing by thanking me for my enthusiasm, and said that I'm the most excited teacher she has, and it's not even close. I wish the Dean had heard that, but all right.

"Okay, great rehearsal! I just need for you to say that again, with the exact same excitement, in 30 minutes when the dean is in the classroom."

Well, not last chance per se, it will just cost them more since they will have to fly to D.C. to buy you a drink. Which they should feel obligated to do after ignoring you all year.
I have ignored everyone who has lived up here in Minny a lot longer than Pants as well. I'm anti-social.

Ran home to grab a couple of things. Noticed that these TP girls must have been getting tired. Couple full roles of toilet paper laying in the yard. Decided to just throw the whole darn roll and take off?
