The glossy mailers are awesome. I feel like I have to wash after touching them. Mrs. Velo said something about him looking creepy and I had to remind her the old standard of finding the worst picture of your target possible and using it to put a negative image in people's minds from the very start.

I am getting no mailers since I am in MN 5th. Neither party is wasting money on that race. Guessing I should still be seeing stuff for gov but pretty much nothing. Republicans don't even try in my district and Democrats just take the votes for granted is my understanding. I am getting emails from our Sec. of State. I know that this is because I donated to his predecessor's campaigns (he was an ISU alumni and big voters rights guy*).

* Voting rights is one of my hot buttons. A REALLY hot button.

Anybody remember this guy?

Percussion kit that includes bells and snare drum along with a stand, case and practice pad. Yeah, my house is gonna get loud...

If they aren't going to guarantee 2 day delivery, don't put that on the check out page and receipt as you check out. It would be very easy to not have that appear for selected items. The item showed as in stock when we purchased by the way.

Same thing we have. Positive for us, third kid to play percussion. Only needed new sticks.

In my humble opinion - a child in the basement learning to play trombone makes noises much like elephant farts. And his brother accompanies him with the strangled goose clarinet squawks.

No......I never experienced that.........nope......

I already had a busy week and failed to get picks in on the NFL and college football pick em games (thanks for trying to help me, KC). Am I missing this week's version of the Big 12 pickem? I don't want to get no-showed out of that one as well.

I haven't watched for it, as I lost in the first round. Search for Rulzzz, he's the thread poster.

It is as true as the old adage about juries: Do you really want your fate to be decided by 12 people who were too stupid to get out of jury duty?

that's kinda what I implied to DH last week when he didn't finagle his way out but his company pays regular pay for it and he was able to be home a bit earlier so in his case.........

though his case was a complete **** show with an OWI guy representing himself. Sounded like they kept getting lots of breaks for the judge to yell at the guy for testifying.

Chaser should be able to help me with this one: Son has decided he is going to play in the school band so we ordered his instrument(s) through Amazon. Mrs. Velo used her Prime to get two day shipping. As she completed her transaction it was guaranteeing Friday delivery. Now she gets notification of Monday delivery. He is supposed to take his instrument to school with him on Monday.

Do we have any recourse? Who do we contact and how. Guaranteed delivery sounds an awful lot like a guarantee...
I know this doesn't have anything to do with your question but I'm glad your son decided to join the band! I started playing trumpet in 5th grade and haven't put it down since. I know being in band isn't necessarily the "cool" thing to do in high school but it's one of those things that sticks with you forever. I play in community bands with 80 year olds that can still play. I dont, however, play pick-up basketball or football with 80 year olds. I went to a small school so I could do as many extracurriculars as I wanted but if I had to go back and choose just one it would be band every time.

I’ve golfed with 80 year olds. That’s why I have taught basics to my kids.

I played trumpet in school also, and was in All-State Orchestra as a senior. Like a fool, I didn't pursue it.....although I did play sporadically now and again. (Mostly at church for Easter, etc) The one regret in my life is that I didn't pursue a musical career - including quitting piano lessons in junior high, now there was one I wish I could do over again - because music is one of the things that really moves me.

I don't think there's an actual guarantee. If you call and complain you'll probably get a month of prime free.

We put out a shallow dish with apple cider vinegar and a couple drops of dish soap, near where they like to congregate. The vinegar sucks them in, and the dish soap keeps them from escaping. We've caught dozens in a night using this method.

put one of those out but so far not going for it. See these traps online for these things that look like apples but has stuff inside that will kill them off.

I wonder if I make a post or two about Asian dating sites if I'll start getting those ads about all the young hot women that want to date overweight old guys again. Much preferred over Smokey the Bear and Adidas
