Bosses' day, nurse's day, mailman's day, etc?

What's your take? Do you buy them something?

I think Bosses' day is the one I struggle with the most, though it likely depends on the type of work setting, I'm sure.

In the corporate / office world, I get the "bosses' day is soon, let's all chip in and buy a gift card or present."

I have a hard time with that one. On one hand, I appreciate a decent boss, on the other hand, I know this person makes 70-100% more money than I do, and I feel hard pressed to chip in just because he/she is doing their job.

That could be a Friday OT topic!

As someone that’s been a boss in some form or capacity my entire adult life, I personally couldn’t care less if people acknowledged Boss’s Day.

Or, you have the boss from hell - and all you really want to do is give them a fish wrapped in newspaper...

Never heard it before....but Welsh sounds about right; they like to have one vowel for every 12 consonants. My father's middle name is Welsh; 4 l's, 1 y, and 2 e's: Llewellyn. Too many vowels! :D
It's pronounced KOOM - rhyming with boom. I learned it when I read Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer about a horrific and tragic day on Mt. Everest.
