Watched "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" last night. Impressive, affecting film. Frances McDormand cements her reputation as the leading actress of her time (I would argue Meryl Streep is a class all her own). Sam Rockwell manages to get sympathy as one of the most odious film characters since Amon Goeth in "Schindler's List".

Just a very serious look at anger, and how it affects people's lives. I can certainly understand the wealth of awards it received.

I haven't seen Three Billboards yet, but you're right about both Frances and Meryl. Amazing, incredible actresses, who could make me watch pretty much anything they are in, and I will enjoy it.

I realize it didn't win many awards, but The Devil Wears Prada is one of those movies that I will watch every. single. time. it's on, and Meryl Streep has a lot to do with that. (And of course, Emily Blunt, who is amazing in her own right and will one day be on a pedestal.)

Have you seen "The Post"? Great story, not only about journalism and the right to publish, but also about a woman who, in the early days of feminism, really put herself on the line in a male dominated world. Understated but powerful performance by Streep.

Good luck! Deck staining is one of the worst tasks!!

I am painting the house this summer, and while I like painting, I just haven't had enough good weather days for it. (Most acrylic paints require the outdoor temperature to be at least 5 degrees above the dew point.) At least the cool days of fall are coming!

Went to the Bud tour, little disappointed amd I still hate beer, so yeah....
When I was working at AB they sent us on the tour. It really isn't much, here's where we boil the wort. Let's talk about rice, here's where we cool it. Free beer.
Not sure why people go on brewery tours. I would assume they are all similar.

I will add you can tell the difference with fresh beer served at the proper temperature.

Honestly, I really enjoyed The Meg. You have to accept it for what it is. It’s meant to be a fun, campy film and that’s what it was. Jason Statham is never going to be a good actor, but he’s a good action actor, and he and the main female protagonist I thought did really well together. Rainn Wilson I thought was surprisingly good in it. It dragged a bit at the end. Two hours for a campy action film is a bit long, but still, don’t regret going to it at all. I had fun.
I think it is the roles Statham gets. He was actually pretty good in "Snatch."

Got home last night. Plants doing better than expected! They didn't have nearly as much leaf drop as last time. However one of the tomato plants is on the struggle bus. We'll see if I can salvage it.

My african plant is probably the next worse one unfortunately :(. Mildish temperatures this week should help out a bit though. Wish there was more sun...

Not exactly sure.
Just ran over a ladder on the way back from Colorado. It was just sitting right in the middle of the fast lane. It punched a hole in the oil tank and probably did more damage. Guess I’m not getting back for a while.

If you put a hole in the oil pan, you may have shelled the engine pending how long you let it run afterwards.

Not exactly sure.
It was/is still leaking after we got stopped but I think a lot of it has already leaked out

You can get by with about half of the "full" amount before any damage starts occurring. If its just an oil pan, those aren't bad to replace if the part is handy. The bigger concern is if anything else got hit. Best to put a new oil pump in while at it. Cheap part while you have it open.
