@wxman1 when you get a chance google Mt. Hood helicopter rescue, just seen it on the news. That pilot has balls of steel to do that. The news clip looks like he/she backs a Chinook helicopter right up to the mountain to load on a injured climber.

So a question for more of you in the loop than me. Has our favorite hfr moved to the maternity pen? I haven't seen any posts for a couple of days.

So once again I am involved with yet another disaster recovery test that is a total mess. We have been trying to bring up this system since 8pm. Within the last half hour the guy that was supposed to do the pre start customization stuff tell sus he never did because his laptop puked. He told us over and over about that but never mentioned that it puked before he did his work.

I knew he was an idiot but this goes beyond that. Then when we start asking if he did anything he just starts talking in circles about people having their own schedule and what not. His director was getting super pissed. Right now he is still making excuses.

Sounds like the disaster recovery test has become a disaster.

We had one born on Friday the 13th. It was our only scheduled one, too, but she needed to come out due to lack of amniotic fluid and the next day just happened to be Friday the13th.

Oldest nephew's birthday is 9/11. If I remember the story, my BIL & SIL were at a doctor's appointment, and the doctor said "Why don't we induce on Thursday?" They agreed, and it wasn't until they got home they realized it was 9/11...and this was in 2003, so a little bit more fresh and emotional in people's memories.

I wish I could remember my BIL's exact words or phrasing, but it boiled down to "Life does go on..."

Hopefully she isn't choosing Stephen either, not that I don't find Colbert funny. I just think she can do better than either of those names.

Well there is at least Stephen precedent with current court Breyer and of course John Paul Stevens. Also second longest sitting Field, infamous forever on personal jurisdiction but voted for Plessy so boo that.

But Brett does sound a bit Ruby Tuesday.

I was assuming Elmer or Elsie

How you doing in the heat? I've been thinking about you...
July 30 is a great day for babies to be born. ;)

Don't think it got quite as hot here the past couple days as your area. Though it did say on the weather last night that it was 105 heat index. I was outside just a little bit yesterday but didn't notice. Had an appointment then worked from home. Rest of team was on a tour about 3 hours away. I had told my manager when they were planning this that I would likely not be going and both he and my next level manager were like lol we weren't going to let you go. That'd be a hell of a team bonding activity, deliver the baby.
