I don't think he wants SCOTUS. It is more fun to complain about Court decisions than to make them, especially since if you are really doing your job you need to pay attention to the law rather than making a snap political decision.So does this mean @cyrocksmypants is DQ'd? Got my first two cherry tomatoes today. Had to spray down all my tomato plants again with copper stuff......hope it works, the cherry and paste ones have more dead/yellowing leaves than I'd like. And some leaves with a white sort of fuzzy mold looking thing. Hmmmmmmmm.
The brandywine seems ok and the beef one has a good amount but it's also loaded with tomatoes. The tops of all four are still strong and green. Have to keep watching. It hasn't gotten significantly worse in the two weeks since I first sprayed but it's still getting to the bottom 1/3-1/2 of the plants.
The hordes of Japanese beetles are disgusting. I decided to go after handpicking some to try and do a tiny bit of damage to them. I think the genocide bucket (as I started calling it) ended up with somewhere between 700-1000 of those nasties in it. Not just from the garden, thankfully. DH came out part way through and took a liking to murdering bugs so he went around to the trees and such to get more. They were getting to my new hydrangeas too, which really pissed me off.
Also, I went to get our kitchen knives sharpened yesterday and while waiting in the store, a crazy old man started talking to me. Telling me the Holy Spirit guides us all, how it guided him when he got separated from his mom at something 70 years ago on X street (do I know where X street is? No, I answer) and do I know if Korean veterans get benefits? He wasn't sure. Then I heard a real voice from God when the lady doing the sharpening called my name and I got the hell out of that corner.
As I was relaying this story to DH I realized that a crazy person in a knife store is probably not a good combo.
Another also, I saw a truck last week on the interstate that send "Send nudes" across the back window. But that's so confusing. Send them to where???? There was no phone number, address, email or anything. Just "Send nudes". I wonder how that's working out for the requestor.
