That guy sure thinks he knows all of the buttons to push:

Conspiracy
Big _____ (fill in the blank with "oil", "media", "pharma", "government", etc.
I have money.
I have 4 homes.
I've sued before and I will do it again.
I'm media so don't mess with me.
I'm making a movie. (Who says that especially about a documentary? They are film makers, not movie makers.)
I'll call your employer.
Everybody is out to get me, Scully, because I know the truth.
This is my life's work (but I can't do the simplest things related to it.)

EDIT: oops, I forgot "undercover".

I stupidly looked at the news clip he posted since he said he was in there. Im sure everybody in this thread could take him and not have to put down their drink.

Chest pains are probably the one thing that I won’t mess around with.

I'll probably go to an urgent care or something later if it continues. I know this might make some people mad but it's the last day of the fiscal year for my company and I have some expenses that need to get through but the expenses server is down. So I am basically just waiting on that.

I know putting work before health is stupid and I would wait for expenses literally every other day of the year but it's a royal pain in the ass if you don't have everything buttoned up at year's end. I know that because I was in the hospital exactly a year ago

Delegate and go.

Delegate and go.

I tried that last year. It's setup in a way that only I can see my expenses until I get through a certain step. We each have our own corporate card with our own account so it's not like my manager can go in and do something.

BUT... it looks to be back up now!

Yep, that embolism was part of the reason for my absence in this thread and forum for a while. If you're curious for the story I put in that "brink of death" thread a long time back here you go:

------

I had just went golfing the day before my side starting hurting so I thought I just strained a muscle. Hurt all day Saturday, took some pain meds and enjoyed the summer day. Hurt even worse on Sunday but I thought I must've pulled it hard.

The next day I flew to DC for work and met with the customer and it really was hurting at that point and I couldn't breathe without it hurting like hell. Went to an urgent care clinic after work but they couldn't see me in time before they closed. At that point I didn't want to go to the hospital at 8pm at night (because why? I'll never know) so I went to Walgreens and got some pain meds and tried to sleep it off but the pain was so overwhelming it was very hard sleep.

Tuesday morning I had an early call at 8am and I couldn't even get through a sentence without gasping for air and the pain was so intense my body was shaking with every breath (more like hyperventilating). I looked up the best hospital in DC and took an Uber to there because I think an ambulance would've taken me to a different one. Anyway, they run all these tests and my oxygen saturation is 71% and they see dozens of blood clots in my lungs. My organs are starting to fail as my body prioritizes the heart and the brain. They inject me with blood thinners every hour, steroids, not enough morphine and I spend the next 6 or 7 days in the hospital on oxygen then flew home was on an oxygen tank for a few more days at home. Eventually my oxygen levels went back to normal and I live a relatively normal life with blood thinners every day. I have a blood disorder that makes my blood sticky and my traveling job with a sedentary-ish lifestyle just made it worse.

Spending a couple days basically hyperventilating with every breath feeling like the last one you'll ever take, alone, in a city you know no one, with nothing to do but look at a TV and think about dying is a really humbling experience

Flying with a PE. you are one lucky SOB.

Still getting Asian Dating Site ads. Yesterday I got an ad to date Hot Colombian women.

Have an acquaintance that is totally falling for one of those. In the process of dumping his real girlfriend (or she's dumping him, not sure) to chase imaginary scammer gals from Asia. I am full on JFC dude WTF but he's going down the rabbit hole on this. He "might" get it when they start asking for money for "arrangements", visas, travel expenses and such. I get that these scams must work since they aren't going away but it's still kinda shocking to see someone fall for it.

That's scary. I'm glad you're ok.

You’re really making me want to look at it but I also really don’t want to.
And I don't think this one's fake like the guy who pooped his pants one. I'm sure the suspicious group that's following him around is a group he made up but I think he may actually be what he seems to be (which is, how shall we say it? a bit eccentric).

There's so many of them, how can people not know that they are scams? They just can't be legit sites like in the olden days when I shilled out for my wife.

Those asian ones are definitely phony. I would never fall for them. You should tell him that the Hungarian ones are better and more legit. If he wants a woman from there, let me know and I will ask Jazmin, whom I met through the Hungarian site. She's independently wealthy and will share it with me after I spot her the 10k for the travel money to get here. She doesn't have access to U.S. dollars and the travel company only takes US $. Should be here by end of the year.

Researching popular hungarian names was dissappointing. I was looking for the equivalent of Olga or Hilda, but they all seemed like names here so I had to go with Jazmin.
