I mean, they wouldn't kill each other but the only way that would happen is if we host. And I'd rather just drive down than host. Basically, I'm fine coming down for a day or two and attending what we can. But we probably will have to stop attending the full spectrum of events. Which I feel that's pretty natural as families grow anyway. Trying to do my side, DH's side, our own, plus a parent's side and the other parent's side is just going to be too much. Especially considering that there's no divorced parents involved. Other holidays they seem to keep it to one each which doesn't always work out timing wise but is generally manageable.
Just a heads up, you may need to just plan on two days. I have a couple of friends that have parents that live near each other. When they go home, they have to spend one night at one parent's house and one night at the other parent's house.

I did one push up last week to see if I still could. Decided that was it for the duration. I did them up to when I was in Hawaii, so that was late 2nd tri. That one last week didn't feel good so yeah, you do more than 1 I'm beat now!

Burpees aren't the most fun now either, I take too long getting down and up. And jumps, jumps are not my fave anymore. Especially when I think somebaby's hard noggin is sitting rather uncomfortably.

Damn lucky you didn’t pee your pants. Just wait until it’s is that pee or did my water break?

Don’t let anyone exercise shame you KC. We all do the best we can. You must be doing something right, are happy and alive.

I haven't routinely exercised in months. Need to get back to it. : (

Relax, girls - those posts were both intended to be funny!

I forgot that CyBirdy was a mother on mother's day - I was waiting for her to respond so that I could suggest it was a revenge omission! ;)

I'm short & round, and I'm well aware of it. I was slender once upon a time, but I was also a smoker. All in all, I'm better off this way.

However, last Feb, PapaLew & I joined a gym. We've been going 2-3 times a week. I've mentioned it a couple of times, but I don't talk about it all the time 'cause I'm scared Carvers will think I'm her BIL! ;)

I tried one of the classes and survived, but really paid for it later with knee & back pain. So we decided to work with a personal trainer to teach us how to use the equipment effectively based on our general health issues (my arthritis is a definite downside). Each of us has a weekly half-hour session with the trainer. I'm using a rower and stairs and some other "fun stuff" like weights & pulleys stuff to help my core. Also balancing pads to help increase my stability (I have been having some balance issues). The weight is not going quickly (only about 6 lbs so far)...but it's summer & we're more active now, so I'm optimistic. :D

And I DID do that whole Carlsbad Caverns thing last month! ;)

Half of those kids are probably in my basement right now.

Alive...yes? And free to come and go?

Mini-Hopp's first game was the UNI at ISU game just after he was born. He just slept in his wrap on mommy the whole time (with ear protection). People behind us didn't even know we had a baby until we changed his diaper at halftime.

Those pics were totes adorbs.
Hopefully that will be the last time I use that phrase.

Damn KC you aren’t going to post your Map My Run, give a rolling mileage count, then throw in some mildly self deprecating comment to make it a “humble” brag? Get out!

Seriously though menopause does weird **** to your body. I see lots of women who never had belly weight who suddenly do even though they are skinny everywhere else. Hormonal changes are a *****.

I've already said we're not switching places for one night to satisfy any sort of grandparent war. They can deal. Or, whine and we'll either always pick the other one/do day trips only. Luckily, we've sort of started setting that precedent with our own stays. I know, I know, it'll be escalated with a baby.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is MH? What do you think the total bill will be around? I was told 5 workers were there and it was out for 2-3 hours. I figure a high estimate is $70 per hour, so around a grand for labor.
MH is manhour. IMO if there were 5 guys for 3 hours, you're probably looking at $1500 in labor. Don't know what the materials would come to, maybe $500-700?

KC - "My triceps are sore from doing 250 pushups after 90 minutes of cardio. I sure hope the vitamins and protein in this kale and plain Greek yogurt smoothie make me even stronger.

Incidentally, I found this when I googled "map my run humblebrag"

Good precedent. It always seems like an unnecessary hassle to me.

Publix censored a graduation cake that was supposed to say "Summa Cum Laude".

I don't know why they include space for notes sometimes. We had our house reroofed so I wanted the satellite dish re-aimed. I talked to the satellite company and they started asking me if I wanted 0800-1200 or 1200-1600 on a particular day. I said it is just to re-aim the dish. We are getting signal but I want it fine tuned. It shouldn't take long and my wife isn't available until 1530. After some discussion the person said okay they would select 1200 to 1600 and put in the notes after 3:30. I also asked them to put in the notes to call my wife's cell phone when they were coming. My wife gets home to find a note on the door that they had been there at 2:00 and no one was home. There is a message on the home answering machine from about 1:45 that they are coming. Didn't bother to read a single one of the notes. She called the guy back and he said we wouldn't be charged for the visit but of course we were. We spent more time cleaning up the mess this created than the actual visit actually ended up taking.

Want to add a "You guys go!" All of the stuff you mention is 100% good to do.

This is great. I did tell him once I had a bunch of lifting repetitions with my fork.

He claims to have some top secret job where he can’t tell Family where he is going but Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat get a freaking daily map of exactly where he is. It’s like hey, that top secret trip your brother is on is in San Francisco. Hope the terrorists don’t get any one kind of social media.

Lawn needs mowing and forecast after today is rain forever. Inner sloth doesn't want to pull out and gas the grass chopper. Being a solar powered being I am at low ebb here on this overcast day.

With all of the soccer this weekend didn't get our weeds mowed either. Have to find a way to get it done tonight between transport to and from soccer practice.
