Yup. Right now, they're probably my one chance for full-time employment.
Fortunately, it's also your best chance.

We watched to the end. They kept fighting - they brought it back to within three, I think. Just couldn't quite make it over the hump, but they didn't quit. I completely understand about the kid thing though - the only demands we have on our time are the cats, and as long as we don't get too agitated while watching the game, they're right there napping. ;)

I think one thing that changed me as well was three years ago the game in Hilton was close. Our Golden was the perfect Golden that knew me very well. I was agitated and he kept bugging me to pet him likely to try and calm me down. I finally yelled at him to go away. Which he did. At halftime I found him laying on the landing to go downstairs. Damn he was a good dog.

More or less. Does “I can no longer deal with your lack of emotional support in a healthy manner for our relationship” count as a resignation letter?
That's way more specific than the usual ones I got like "let's just be friends", "I don't see this relationship moving forward anymore" or "you're not very good in bed".

I am about to lose it with this one guy on my team.

A bit of backstory:
When we got hired at the same time, he was yapping it up that he might not even be here a month because he has a tryout with the Chicago Cubs. He's a really fit dude so I could see it as this was the first time I met him. He went on to say he was a scholarship athlete at his university (Big 10 school) and yada yada.

So I look him up to see his stats and see if he has any shot at making the Cubs. He's nonexistent on the internet. You would think a scholarship athlete for a Big 10 school would have some mention SOMEWHERE. He wasn't listed on any roster, including the club baseball team.

He went to his "tryout" and didn't make the Cubs. So whatever, I let it go though working with him is like getting my teeth drilled by a dentist. I don't know how he hasn't been fired yet because whenever I work with him, he doesn't know a damn thing. He even said to me one time "you try turning off the server and letting it rest?" That's not how it works buddy.

Back to today:
We've had a lot of new hires so some of us had to do a whole "introduce yourself" thing today for the team call. He was up and spouted his stuff about being a college athlete (misspelled college into collage ) and then dropped this nugget "I was pretty good, I had the Dodgers try and recruit me at 15".

Thank god it was a conference call and I was on mute because I involuntarily said "BULL ****" but damn I am gonna do something stupid if he brings it up in the same room as me.

What about "you're too nice" ?
I rated it dumb because I've had this said to me way too many times.

What the **** do you mean I am too nice? Our arguments weren't serious enough? I didn't call you a ***** enough? What the hell does that mean?

I've come to the realization that they don't want to tell the truth so they had to come up with something.

Maybe they're saying you're too Nice. You're too sophisticated and beautiful like a port on the Southern Coast of France.

I was one time told I was too good looking to date.
After some other things, which were kind of spot on, she said no woman wants a boyfriend that other women are always hitting on.
I looked over my right shoulder, then my left and asked "Where are all those women now?"

That's a good one. I bet Channing Tatum always had problems finding girls to date.

Not exactly sure.
I went on a couple dates with one girl and when I asked about going out another time, she said she thought we were just going as friends before. I was thinking, well.....I don’t have to pay for my other friends food nor do we kiss when I drop them off.
