Trying to convince a three year old that we should just lay around and do nothing is probably harder than rocket science.
We were zombies and chased each other, had milk breaks and video breaks. Then snow watching. It was a nice mix of not doing anything and active.

Ended up with 2-3 inches of snow on the grass, roads and sidewalks are nothing but wet. Going to be a while before things dry out from this mess.

Family get together for youngest nieces B-day today, Spaghetti, salad, squash, and garlic bread for the meal it was good. We have an abundance of squash this yr have (butternut) we are just peeling them, cubing them, some brown sugar & butter then baking them. Added some mild sausage (prebrowned) to it with bacon on the top, that made it really good, had done the bacon before but not the sausage.

Brewers fan base reminds me of the Iowa State fan base. One loss after 12 wins in a row and everyone thinks it's over.

New levels of success are hard. Just get another win and some people settle down while others just think the pain will hurt more.

Ultimate reference: going down 3-1 in the 2016 World Series. Just do what we did and win the whole thing.

WHY IS IT GOING TO SNOW TONIGHT?!?!

Also, we made pot roast tonight. I was convinced that last year we got turnips in our CSA and put those in it and they tasted pretty much like potatoes. DH said nah those were parsnips. We got turnips last week. I bit into one tonight. DH was right. Turnips are gross.

imagine a world without potatoes. They were not known in Europe until in the 1500s when they were brought back from the "New World and caught on.

Slowly but surely I think the posters with uncompromised brains are winning the football threads over those inflicted with the deadly brain slugs.
