Was there a jewelry heist going on? I could be wrong but I remember a disaster movie with a blimp that was so bad that when they showed it on television they added in a bunch of footage to use the blimp crashing into the Super Bowl as diversion for a jewelry heist. It was like they spliced two movies together to try and make one coherent plot.

Nope, just a guy and a gal trying to get 'Murica's attention.

I guess it was a more of a thriller than a disaster movie since the disaster was averted (unfortunately--that's the best part!).

So. My takeaway from Manifest:
It has possibilities.
They have NO clue how to play Bananagrams...and those tiles were 4x normal size...

I thought they were playing Dominos of some type. Missed what was said at the beginning of the scene. I'll tune in again.

You can see the banana-shaped game bag that holds the tiles on the table.
The kid said "peel" which is what you say when you use all your letters, and everyone has to draw a letter. But the game doesn't end until there are no more letters to draw...and there was a huge draw pile still in the middle of the table.
In case you couldn't tell - it's one of my favorite games. :D

Doesn't like synaesthesia either not actually verifiably exist or occur in like 1 in 50 million people?

The vixen has a new job! (Well, in two weeks she will.) This is a big deal - it's a much shorter commute, much better pay, two weeks vacation right off the bat, and most importantly, I think she finally has a job where people will appreciate all she brings to the table.

Her current job is a nightmare of too much stress (brought on by too big an overload) and not enough appreciation. She regularly gets calls at home nights and weekends with dispatch and loading issues that everyone expects her to solve.

Anyway.....we had some champagne last night to celebrate. She's still suffering from whatever respiratory illness is making the rounds - she has coughed so much her ribs hurt - but a joyous evening nonetheless.

On Wisconsin
We can all probably get used to Chad Leistikow's writing in the DM Rag....he obviously is living his dream as the hok reporter. Definitely a knob-slobberer extraordinaire.
So I have a few thoughts on that game, and since you’re from Wisconsin, this is the RTT, and the conversation in the other threads have moved on, this seems like a great place to do it:
1.) that was a great game regardless of who would have won
2.) the last play Wisconsin ran wasn’t a trick play, Iowa was prepared for it (all 11 guys were within 5 yards of the LOS) but just gave up, and it was necessary because Iowa was using it’s timeouts
3.) what was Iowa’s play call at the end? They needed a quick score and Iowa players were getting hit. They’re lucky none of their players were injured.

Well we now have a 1 year old girl...where does the time go.

In preparation for her party yesterday we learned that there is apparently a shortage on helium and the party supply store only had enough to fill their pre-orders. The only other known place in town that had some was one of the Hy-Vees that was reportedly charging $20/balloon to fill.
How much for an inhale?

Well evidently the reply function isn't working today. BC Seth Meyers is the TV show host on after Jimmy Fallon on NBC.
