Infants usually travel decent. Besides, just do what we did, one would drive, the other would ride in back and keep the baby content. Feel like driving miss daisy (reminds me I never saw this movie either for that thread)

None of our kids ever traveled well until they were about 5yrs old or so.

If you are concerned about the sun sitting in the backseat, put up extra sunshades. I have two sitting in my basement that need to go on the garage sale that will never happen. Our oldest was sensitive to sunscreen which we found out right before heading out on a trip to the MN State Fair when she was 3.5 month old. That was not fun.

Okay, when said I would go to the game earlier this week there was a 20% chance of rain. Yes, I am a fair weather fan when it comes to football.

Well, they agreed to the additional $5k so fast that I’m almost thinking I should have asked for more....
Perhaps not asking for more now can pay dividends salary wise in the future.

Gah.

ISU Athletics put up something on Twitter, just showing clips (from last year) of people tailgating. Now I am sad. :(

Making me sad because those pictures are sunny and dry. :( I have been putting off getting things ready because of the rain.

Got quite a few "F*** State!"'s while driving past Kinnick today. Also "What the **** are you doing? You're in the wrong town!"

But, after a prolonged postgame presser, got back to my car and 1) No slashed tires, 2) Didn't smell of beer, and 3) No beer cans or bottles sitting on it. So, survived it.

Just got back from the game. Obviously disappointed that the game was cancelled but I still had fun. Probably one of those games I'll always remember. A couple observations:

Students (probably more like drunk students) are incredibly creative when it comes to passing time. Someone started throwing a frisbee around and it evolved into a student-section-wide game. It was all fun and games until someone threw the frisbee on the field one too many times and they stopped giving it back. Then the cheerleaders threw out T-shirts and gave a student the box when it was empty. The box was used like a volleyball and made it all they way into the upper deck. Many kudos to all of the personnel on the field; ISU PD, the security team, photographers, etc. for being good sports with the students' shenanigans.

They changed the student ticket process this year so your tickets aren't automatically loaded onto your ISU ID. You have to bring up the webpage with the barcode for your ticket so they can scan it or have it already printed out. I got to the stadium and the cell reception was so bad I couldn't get my ticket to load. I had to stand by the bus stop in the middle of the tailgate lots so I could connect to the wifi, go to the webpage, and screenshot the barcode so I could get into the game. There were a ton of students having to step out of line because they couldn't load their tickets and I wonder how many didn't make it in at all. I'm not sure what was wrong with having your tickets on your ID but if they are really going to stick with this barcode deal they need to do something about the terrible cell reception at the stadium.

Not exactly sure.
There is 3 hours of my life I will never get back. Leaning on a trash can. My observations, I would never take a month or two old newborn to a football game. That was standing on my left side. Look to my right, and I'm hoping the lady moves because she WILL be giving birth to a kid, or a litter, in a matter of hours I swear.

You can also go inside the ticket office on the west side and use their wifi...there were a bunch of people doing that.
We loved watching you guys - you kept US entertained. Too bad the wave kept dying. That happens when there are three empty sections next to yours... ;)
I got a real kick out of the cop riding his bike toward the end, and all the students cheering for him. Did you notice the "special" balloon in the northernmost section? PapaLew was pretty sure someone blew up a condom and they were batting it around. I couldn't really tell.
