Look at Birdy in here all "I went to CysHouse" ;) In all honesty I am the last person you want when it comes to trivia...the drinking on the other hand. That I can support.

This year they pulled out the crappy beer (they provide free beer). In year's past it has been Boulevard, Sam Adams, better options. This year was Bud Light and Coors Light. We were actually surprised it wasn't Busch Light.

The vixen's family, who regard beer as a food group, all agree that Busch Light is better than Bud Light. Which is kind of like saying getting whipped with baling wire is better than getting whipped with a wet rope.

In a Crayola world, those two colors would be ebony and sunflower. Or, as so eloquently named by a CF poster (I can't think of who right now), dirt and urine.

Sunflower? I don't think I've ever seen that one before.

Now cornflower, on the other hand, has always been one of my favorites. It's really close to my eye color.

My favorite Crayola has always been midnight blue...nice, soothing color.

By the by, I shouldn't have to wear a winter coat on April 16th. I'd be helping shovelling up north if I was able, though.

Had fun with the kids this morning digging a tunnel through one of the massive snow piles.

I've lost track of how many times I have had the snow blower and shovels out this weekend. It has been interesting. I'm going to use the last of my 2 cycle mix fuel in the morning to drain out the Toro and then it is hand work the rest of the winter. Should only be about 6 weeks more...
When my girls were younger, I used to make sure I piled all the snow in one spot, then, after it settled, I'd dig them a snow cave. They are the greatest things to stay in in the snowy mountains.

You seriously tear your ACL? That definitely stinks.

Had my first heart stoppage tonight. Son was running an 800 for the d med, he finished the first lap and I see h8m grap his leg a couple times, makes the turn and I can see something is really wrong, the other parents by me ask if something is wrong now. He hobbles the second lap and collapses at the finish line holding his bad knee. I am sick. I go down the steps to get closer, he thankfully grabs his stuff and comes out of the gate. Tweaked the area where they took his hamstring to repair his knee. By end of meet he says he’s fine. Big relief.
Glad your son seems OK.

Made friends today with the two guys driving the yard waste pickup service. Their ginormous garbage truck got stuck in the alley. My ice chopper, a couple gallons of my granite chips and 20 minutes of chopping and digging finally got them out.

No sure why and the hell Aspen sent them out today, heck, any yard waste that people had picked up is under over a foot of snow. o_O

So we survived the 3 college visits in Iowa this weekend and all 3 schools made a really good impression and are probably now the top 3 schools. Unfortunately, ISU seems to be in third.

Drake offers the small class sizes, some really innovative collaboration with local hospitals & Des Moines University, and the city of Des Moines. Also, everybody that we've talked to or presented from Drake has been super nice.

Iowa offers the great opportunities with the hospital & med school, great views above the river, and a fantastic remodel of their library (it's really impressive). I did point out the the dufus kid sitting next to me during the presentation yelled "Go Hawks" at the end of the initial presentation but there was only one of him. To top it off, the tour guide was really personable, from Minnesota, and was friends with the daughter of one of my best friends from high school. It's going to take me a bit to reconcile this information.

@WooClone15 - The other people in our tour group at Drake also toured Wooster. I mentioned the bagpipe/kilt tradition and they mentioned something about a tradition of filling a huge arch full of snow. They didn't have any details but can you enlighten me?

Letting your daughter go to the dark Side? Are you getting her a tattoo next weekend?
