Surprisingly, the girls basketball team from the high school I attended is in the finals!! Go Crestwood! At least they just call them the Cadets nowadays instead of the Cadettes like when I was in HS many moons ago. I always thought adding a special suffix or adding "The Lady" in front of the team's mascot as in "The Lady Bulldogs" or something was stupid,

NEIC represent!

Crestwood Ueber Alles!

They're like the Chicago Cubs of the Iowa high school basketball scene!

by the time I got done talking to Dh and then my mom last night, it was too late for cupcakes. So hopefully it's not dried out today, I kept it in the box. I was super tempted to get two because they had cheesecake ones as well. But it felt gluttonous to get two.

So I ordered clothes from a store on that side that I'll likely need to return. Of course, I'll do that in person. :D

I usually make myself a cheesecake for my birthday. I decided to scale a recipe down and make a smaller one, but that did not stop me from eating it for breakfast, snack, and dessert the past few days. #gluttonous

Never saw frozen, that explains why I didn't know her.

I lived Frozen for about 3yrs straight. It was fun because when #3 turned three she was obsessed and got tons of Frozen stuff for her birthday and they did Frozen that year on the big screen at Jack Trice which happened to fall on or very near her birthday. She liked Anna (pronounced Ah-nah, Elsa's younger sister) and wore the Anna costume she got everywhere. I am glad we are beyond Frozen, though.

If you ever watch the movie Frozen, for some inexplicable reason, you will understand.

As for calling me a tool for posting that, KC, bite me!
I actually really liked frozen, and it's easily one of my favorite disney movies. It also helps that I don't have kids/very young siblings so I didn't need to watch it 10,000 times

There is a business in town that has a frozen night during winter. The owners 20-25 year old daughters dress up like the frozen princesses, or whatever they are. I didn't understand it so I never went.

So you finally got her to let it go?

I'll show myself out.

Wife emailed the school that our daughter would not be at school on Friday. Daughter asked me to take her to the state tourney and we don't get to spend much time together so I thought it would be a nice father daughter day. Wife tells me that the principal emailed back late and asked if there was a valid reason for her to be gone. If they don't like a reason they make the kid attend Saturday morning school. Told the wife to email back that she was with her dad. If he doesn't excuse it I will go in and sit there Saturday and write an essay on how asinine the policy is.

Does sound a little ridiculous. But at the same time at my 7th grader's school they have a lot of parents who schedule multiple trips during the school year where the kids miss a week of school for no legitimate reason. If you have to travel for a family function that is one thing but is it really necessary for the kids to be out for a couple of weeks so you can schedule family vacations (Disney, cruises, etc.) during the school year?

I had to Google PJ Masks here yesterday but I at least knew what Frozen was.

And more Disney TV knowledge: "You rebel scum!" They had a Rebels marathon on last night. True to the genre, the Stormtroopers have never ever hit anything they aim at.
