I stopped looking at WBB threads much when I lost my inside information source.

I work out with one of the women's coaches. Fun person, but it wouldn't surprise me if the staff is pretty out of touch in terms of relating to young people.
We generally don't talk much about the games unless there was a win. Mostly just mentions recruiting trips, which happen a lot. They definitely work hard at that part, I think.

But that makes the women's threads seem awkward. I like the person I work out with, but it has been a really long time for that group.

Daughter calls me at about noon today. Furnace is blowing cold air. House is 62 degrees and not getting warmer. Had her turn it off, wait and turn on again. Nothing. Sent her down to see if the pilot light was going. That failed miserably -- she wasn't even sure what was furnace and what was ductwork. So I called Schaal y'all and got on their "urgency" list, which guaranteed someone would diagnose the problem within -- 24 hours. Remembered that I had changed the thermostat batteries this morning before leaving for work, so I had her keep messing with it. Finally started working again -- WHEW! Cancelled the $130.00 service call.

Hubby had to take the oldest to volleyball practice on the 1st this month. The rest of us are having a movie night and they keep complaining it is cold, so I turned on the fireplace. Checked the thermostat and the temp inside was under what we have it set at. Start thinking, "I haven't heard the furnace run in awhile" Go downstairs and the furnace is turned off. Hubby had changed the filter earlier in the day and had forgotten to turn it back on.

Kids are home. Letting them eat less pretty cookies but have hidden the rest for tomorrow’s bus ride. The dog is eyeing the storage container on top of bookshelf in bedroom already.

This along with almost playing favorites is the feeling we have gotten from a good friend that played for him.

And the coach I know is always ready with the fact that players didn't do enough and things were different in their own playing days.
Has made it clear that it isn't easy to play for him, though.

His wife is also one of the chosen ones.

If you want to spend a couple of hours watching a truly gut-wrenching movie, rent "The Zookeeper's Wife". Pretty heavy stuff, but very well done.

Went to that in theater. One of kids is dating girl who somehow knows nothing about WW II. Recommended that in addition to Schindler’s List, The Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, and some of the older movies. She wants to be a teacher, maybe at some point read a history book.

I guess I'm a little confused on the 2nd one, if the order is already screwed up. Why continue to send the customer a bill? Just so you can credit back only the bad part of the order?

The bill went out before I knew the order was wrong. The bill went Tuesday, news about the order came yesterday. And the whole thing will need to be redone so I need to figure out if the vendor is going to give a discount. They better. It's just a cluster because the vendor bills us, then we rebill the customer. So it's a damn mess and I need to get ahold of the vendor tomorrow (I've emailed twice today - been on the road) and tell her we aren't paying anything yet and then tell finance + customer to ignore that invoice until it's settled.

Did you recommend titantic as a historically accurate account?

What's she planning to teach? Maybe she (shudder) doesn't need to.
I'll be surprised if I ever teach WW2 again.
