Yeah, that was my 36 ACT kid. He was smarter than me by about third grade.

Life would have been easier with modern graphing calculators. Boxster and KC are probably the only ones around here that can relate to using algorithm tables. My kids gave me a WTH look when I showed them my old slide rule.
Don't forget about me.

I think I was in Nevada once for pizza. Did Nevada have a good pizza place 25-30 years ago?
They also had George's Pizza (I just checked and it's still there)
Starbucks was your local ice cream & burger joint that it seems every small Iowa town has. Half the price of DQ and much much better.
While I never had it, they had a sandwich called "The Hungry Man" Two hamburger patties that were breaded and deep fried. I was never that brave but most people said it was really good.

I had to take high school algebra four times. Once for myself, three times to help my daughters with their homework.
I'm just glad my boys made it through elementary before they started talking about "friendly" numbers. I hear a lot of complaints from them about helping THEIR kids with math, and not understanding what they're supposed to be learning - and one of them married an elem ed major. Better them than me.

I'm with Cyclone G. Don't like ketchup on my fries. I'll eat them plain or dip them in BBQ sauce. Will also dip them in mayo sometimes.

Tempting: New Lego Marvel game in November.
Not tempting: No XBox360 version, which shouldn't be a surprise. Probably haven't been for a year or so. New console: Lots of $, and I don't play much.

Oh, well. Would have been a fun game, but that's really getting pricey.

Crazy day today. Took the day off, but went to bed at 3:00am last night finishing up some things. Wife calls me at 6:00am saying her car died at the gas station in our neighborhood. Drove there and she dropped me back home and took my car to work. Since I could not find the jump starter, I assumed it was already packed with the rest of the stuff for our move, so I had to call roadside assistance. Either way, from her description it sounded more like an issue with the starter.

Unfortunately, I needed to be with the vehicle when they came to tow it, so I had a friend of ours come pick me and the kids up and go to the gas station. My friend had jumper cables, so we gave that a shot and it worked, so the issue was the battery. Took the car to O'Reilly's to get a new battery, but they would not install it because it was storming so I just bought it and took it home. Put the baby to sleep, made lunch for my older son and took an hour nap. Woke up and changed the battery, since it stopped raining momentarily.

My boss started blowing up my phone, so I called him back and realized that I dropped the ball on an activity for work. Spent the next hour and a half straightening that out. This day has sucked big time. So much for a vacation day.

By the way, looked in the trunk compartment after changing the battery and guess what I found: our jump starter pack. FML
