When does school start?

Day after Labor Day.
She's ready. She declared that she's old enough and ready enough for preschool.
We drove by the school so that she could go to school today.

We had a Pinto Runabout (2-door hatchback) and two kids, both in car seats. When you're broke & in grad school, you make do. It was SUCH a relief when we finally got a four-door vehicle!

Weekend recap-Again I am very jealous of the trail system in the twin cities. MLB proved again that they need to take the delay decision away from the umpires for certain situations. We had cloud to ground lightning within two miles of the stadium yesterday and they continued play for at least another half hour when they finally gave in half way through a downpour. Also due to this they had to reprep the field since it had rained so much.

LittleWx wasn't interested in eating at lunch before the game so of course after a while at the game he was hungry and wanted a burger. So I go to get him something knowing it was going to cost me but ticked me off when all they had were burgers and fries for $15. I just want the damn burger! Of course he only really ate the frys and a few bites of the burger. #Parenthood

Although the car was not completely full this trip did prove to me that we do indeed need a bigger vehicle after this next kid is born. Also I can't wait to get back up there and go kayaking.

Z taunted me with broccoli and cauliflower. I tried to eat it, and she pulled it back, saying "Mine!"
She ate those leftovers, but she'd already attacked her veggies with the normal level of ferocity. The world isn't ready for this girl.

1. Got stung in the head by a bee. Glad I'm not allergic to that.
2. Z declared that she forgot all of her homework at school.
3. Z let me know that her bag is packed for school tomorrow. She's ready to go. I feel bad for her that it's a month away, and that she has her dad's desire to be there.

oh yeah we're doing volleyball this summer. Lost our first game, I was terrible. Won both since then. I had a couple aces tonight, finally. My serve was horrible first two games. Been better about the rest like you know, hitting the ball during rallies.

Got the 30 in tonight did not die. Actually it went pretty well. No ride tomorrow night other commitments and work beckons next Mon. nite.

Did a ride also but only another test how I feel 15 miler. Might drive out to Wazata tomorrow and ride trails west for something longer before it goes rainy the rest of the week.

The two youngest share a room. The 6yr old was asking how many days until school started, so we counted on their calendar. Preschool starts a week later for the 4yr old. Let me tell you, that is going to be a LONG week.

The main school supply the 4yr old wanted was a cool lunch box. Had to burst her bubble that you don't bring lunch in preschool.
