I dropped off my car for an oil change and a recall on the ball joint of the windshield wipers. I got it back and the person that drove my car to the lift and to the front of the building moved my seat. Then I realized they adjusted my mirrors as well.
WTF dude, you drive my car a couple of hundred yards at best and you have to **** it all up?

Have you checked your radio station presets? Cuz that would be funny.

Whenever we go to our friends' house, either my wife or I will flip their toilet paper around so it feeds the other way.

I left my car at an airport parking place where you had to leave the keys. When I got back the radio had been changed to a country music station with the volume cranked up. I wanted to go back and just shoot someone.

Took my 2 youngest to Trolls at Jack Trice last Saturday. Gorgeous night, love when the weather is perfect for the movie. About 1/2 way through I realized I could see Coach Prohm about 15 yds ahead of us. Took a picture and sent to hubby. "Creeper" was the reply I got. ;)

I had noticed a friend of my daughter's was right in front of coach with her grandparents. When someone pointed out that Prohm was behind them, the grandpa was like, "Who?" He is a Hawkeyes and was less than impressed. (His son played basketball for Iowa).

Husband and I were out with friends and the parents of a Hawkeye football player stopped at the table to talk to our friends. The arrogance was strong. Told us how their son was going to be playing on Sundays even though he hasn't even played a down for Iowa yet. Also were telling us about how much weight the strength and conditioning coach is putting on their son. One of our friends mentioned the rhabdo and got reamed out by the father.

So the guy my cousin is married to is a personal trainer and has a B.S. and M.S. in it the M.S. being from Iowa. He interned and worked with the S&C staff at Iowa. He has repeatedly said they they were ******* dumb for what they did and are lucky no one died or they would all have been fired and sued beyond belief.

They have also drastically changed their S&C program since then so that the upperclassmen are not pushed as hard as the underclassmen. Kind of a build and plateau/maintain strategy.

While putting our daughter to bed last night, we hear this loud bang and then a muffled "ungh mrff" coming from above us in her loft. I chuckle a bit and ask if my daughter was ok. She leans over the bed, holding her nose while a stream of blood comes pouring over the side onto the carpet below.

My wife screams and basically reacts like someone just shot up our house and kidnapped our daughter (she's not the best in stressful situations) while I quickly grab a blanket to catch the blood fountain.

About half an hour later, we have our daughter cleaned up (she managed to get a fair amount of blood in her hair), clothes and blanket in the wash, carpet mostly clean, and she is asleep.

I was worried that she cut something bad enough that might need stitches or that she possibly broke her nose, but I guess she just knocked her nose hard on the loft frame somehow. She claims she just rolled over and hit it, but I'm pretty sure there is more to the story.

I kept an eye on her during the night and she was fine this morning. I gave her a little crap during breakfast about denting the bed frame, and she punched me and smiled. All good.

Last night my girlfriend's dog (Ed) bit our friend on his hand after petting him. Ed's a pointer/rottweiler mix that has always had behavior issues. My girlfriend adopted him from random people in a Wal-Mart parking lot when he was 6 months old. She had a break-in a couple of years ago and the guy hit Ed pretty hard during the ordeal. This is the third time Ed has bitten someone. The first was someone who "playfully" punched her on the shoulder and Ed bit him pretty hard on the leg. The second was my girlfriend who tried to get in-between Ed and a random kid that walked up to them at a park and tried to pet him even though she warned the kid to stay back. Ed nipped her on the hand. And then last night's episode.

Ed is ultra-protective, has severe separation anxiety, and is easily startled. He is always barking whenever he hears noises outside out apartment. He's never tried to bite me, but I've always tried to be calm around him and now that I've been around for over a year, I think he "likes" me. But there have been a few issues. Like this past basketball season when I'd start yelling over a game, he got upset a few times and barked at me.

My girlfriend is very attached to Ed. She loves him to death. Ed has been there for her through some very tough times (including the break-in). She has tried since she got him (2.5 years ago) to correct his behavior. It hasn't seemed to improve at all. Last night's attack was unprovoked with no warning. My friend has been around Ed many times before.

We are considering euthanasia at this point. We believe that he is a danger to us (mostly me) and especially others.

My girlfriend asked me to call around to find someone who will do it. I haven't called yet. I haven't figured out exactly what to say that doesn't make us sound like we're just giving up and are bad pet owners. This sucks.

Anyone ever deal with this before?

So do you coordinate this?

My wife and I have been together so long, a simple grin conveys the message.

We've been friends with this other couple for over 20 years. We play pranks on each other all the time. They will change a clock in our house from time to time. We've short-sheeted each other's beds. Vodka was once replaced with water. We also trade this creepy looking garden gnome we found at a garage sale by hiding it around each other's house. Pretty harmless stuff.

But they are also the friends that would rush over at 3 AM to help if something was needed. We're really lucky.

Not that exactly but we used to have a cat that for no reason whatsoever would pee on clothes, blankets and the floor itself. We tried for several years to figure out what was wrong and correct it but never had any success. Due to this we had to spend $1k replacing carpet in our house in KS before selling it along with tossing a bunch of other stuff she peed on. Enough was enough and we took her to the shelter who said they had no choice but to put her down. It wasn't easy but we weren't going to find someone for her and we couldn't have her continue to ruin houses and property.

It isn't easy or popular but when you get down to it they are an animal and if they are aggressive and you can't get them to improve then there is not much else you can do.

That sounds like a horrible decision to have to make. It seems like Ed was likely mistreated which makes me sympathize with him, but I get where you are coming from. An unprovoked attack is a pretty scary thing, especially after 2.5 years with a loving owner. I can't give you a recommendation, but I certainly won't judge you whichever way you go with this.

Good luck with a tough choice.

Finally mustered up enough willpower to call our vet. I couldn't even keep it together trying to talk to the lady on the phone. I have no idea how I can handle it when my girlfriend comes home tonight (she wasn't here last night) and then for tomorrow, when we take him to the vet. She's going to be a mess. I feel like I'm going to be, too.

Oh and then we're supposed to be leaving right after that to go on a camping trip. It's going to be hard to enjoy that with Ed gone.

Damn it, Ed.

The real question is how many miles did they put on it while doing the "oil change". ;)
