While putting our daughter to bed last night, we hear this loud bang and then a muffled "ungh mrff" coming from above us in her loft. I chuckle a bit and ask if my daughter was ok. She leans over the bed, holding her nose while a stream of blood comes pouring over the side onto the carpet below.
My wife screams and basically reacts like someone just shot up our house and kidnapped our daughter (she's not the best in stressful situations) while I quickly grab a blanket to catch the blood fountain.
About half an hour later, we have our daughter cleaned up (she managed to get a fair amount of blood in her hair), clothes and blanket in the wash, carpet mostly clean, and she is asleep.
I was worried that she cut something bad enough that might need stitches or that she possibly broke her nose, but I guess she just knocked her nose hard on the loft frame somehow. She claims she just rolled over and hit it, but I'm pretty sure there is more to the story.
I kept an eye on her during the night and she was fine this morning. I gave her a little crap during breakfast about denting the bed frame, and she punched me and smiled. All good.
