If Iowa decides to build a wall, just promise to give me a heads-up so I can get my family out.

We don't let just anyone in but with me sponsoring your family and Clonee as a reference I believe you will get the papers you need for entrance into the fine Democratic Republic of Minnesota and the Seven County Metro Area City State.

Pants got in pretty easily because of our reciprocity agreement with the fine state of Hawaii. Riley was granted political asylum as a refuge seeking to flee Iowa District #4.

Not exactly sure.
don't know if I mentioned that the day we left, I stopped to grab granola bars and Dramamine after work and out of nowhere it like, super hailed. Like, I was afraid to run to my car and get it under cover cause it was so big. Called Dh saying make damn sure your car is inside before this gets further east and was sure my car would be dented to hell. Got it home and quickly looked before driving off and didn't think we saw anything. Forgot about it til today. Going to work today and DH followed me out of the house and then stopped to look at the car hood. Yep, bunch of little dents. Then he thought maybe it happened while the car sat in Chicago but I was like I bet it was that Monday we left.

Get to work and coworker is like were you around for the hailstorm? Hmmmm what day was that???? Turns out people at work had windshields broken and $4-$6k in damage. Everyone still in the parking lot had damage of some kind. Texted DH saying yeah, I think it was that day we left! He doesn't want to bother taking it in but I wasn't sure if we should.

also, hope no one noticed that I posted this in the Cave for a couple minutes, haha

Leave it outside in the hottest weather possible for a few days. Will pop many of the rents out.

Yep. Put me down as a reference. Although, I'm not sure that'll help much. They've been trying to kick me out of the state for years. The driving force behind that is probably my wife.

Also, if you're asked the question, "What one thing do you value most?", the answer should probably be walleye. Although, meat raffles, pulltabs, theater scene, chains of lakes and Wisconsin jokes will probably allow you to pass as long as you don't mess up the other stuff.

supposed to be 90 this weekend so I may let it sit in the driveway for a bit. I could swear they looked better yesterday after sitting in the lot at work M-Tues.

Carl Reiner, the 95-year-old comedian, writer, actor, and director, has a running gag about life as a nonagenarian. “Every morning … I pick up my newspaper, get the obituary section, and see if I’m listed,” he explains. “If I’m not, I have my breakfast.”

And an HBO special on this tonight. Opened with Tony Bennett singing. It's an all nonagenarian show on life after 90. Will watch for tips on this.

Does anyone else have a family reunion? How about every year? Does your mom lay the guilt trips down to try to get you to go?

We have one on my mom's side yearly. I like my aunts and uncles so I enjoy going, also the food is awesome. If it's a work weekend I don't reschedule to make it. I think it will probably end when that generation passes on, the current cousins and 2nd cousins all get along well enough but won't care enough to continue it onward. It's kind of nice to catch up with people once a yr or so.

It's just one. Whining like it's lost. Haven't seen the mother around for a few days now.
We've had one little scrawny dude visiting for about a month...we call him Buddy. Except Buddy is apparently Betty...or more appropriately Bunny. She brought her quads to visit yesterday. Yup - count 'em...four babies. No wonder Buddy/Betty/Bunny is so scrawny. Her kids are sucking her dry!

My uncle the WWII navy vet used to sing that occasionally.
My mother loved the Andrews sisters. She did a mean Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy with a couple of her sisters (and later with me & my sisters). However, it would crack me up when she sang some of the more randy swing era tunes like this one. She was a preacher's kid who (maybe) had a glass of wine a year...

Last day of school today. Last day of elementary school for us. Saw the youngest daughter get on the bus, I got in the car, let out a couple of tears and was fine. Then Sweet Child of Mine came on the radio,

"She's got a smile it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky"

Has anybody ever out-and-out cried to a Guns N' Roses song before?
