Kc have you floated away yet?
No - but it was a scary drive home. I left right at the peak (after checking the weather to be told it wasn't raining...). I go down Beach (west side of JTS) to get to hwy 30. At the TOP of the hill the storm drains across from JTS were spewing water out onto the street. University had several inches of water deep in the right lane. 30 was not flooded, but it was raining so hard that the onramp to southbound 35 was at a dead stop. Traffic was backed up clear back to the overpass going over Duff. I was in the left lane (for thru traffic eastbound). Unfortunately, there were enough STOOPID people not paying attention that my lane was also at a stop in places due to people trying to force their way into the right lane to exit onto 35. When I got stopped at Duff, I was a little bit afraid that the South Skunk had already gone over 30. I couldn't see that far because of the rain and the humongous semi in front of me.

We barely got a sprinkle here on the north side.

Internet is back and so is cable. Have decided to forgo the heroin run to seedy part of town for drugs....my media drugs are back! Blood pressure is down as is heart rate. Even the cold sweat is dissipated after a shower.

Comcast has been down. Not sure why or how big an area but no Internet or tv. Projected fix is sometime :mad:tomorrow. Wtf.

Working in the south metro:p
No problem in the northwest metro.

edit: I see that it was fixed. Also, I wish ours had been out last night as Mrs. JCyclonee and teenage daughter decided to watch the silly Miley Cyrus "Last Song" movie. I decided it was preferable to do laundry.

Today sucked. Chipper was getting clogged every five minutes. If I had it running slow it would get clogged, but if I ran it at usual speed it would get too hot. Even at normal speed it would get clogged. So I spent half the day with my hand in the chute. When that didn't work, I had to insert a large stick to try to open it up. When that didn't work, I had to reach up the other end to get it.
So many euphemisms

I would have been helping you fold. ;)

Pretty amazing that a wasp sting can kill a fairly young, presumably healthy individual...
From the ISU Daily:
Chester Britt, professor and chair of the Department of Sociology, died Tuesday morning at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

According to the department's website, Britt had experienced a severe reaction to a wasp sting while jogging on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

He was taken to the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, and later moved to the Israel Family Hospice House, said Paul Lasley, professor of sociology and anthropology.
