Had a fun morning / afternoon with my two nieces. We went to Story County fair in Nevada (Saw all the animals - their favorite was the rabbits. Watched the rabbit judging contest, had lunch then they had some playground time. Tired but had alot of fun with them.

I need details: What hours does it go? Toddler friendly? How long does it go on?

Thanks!

I first read this as rabbit juggling.

Co-worker decided to forego my advice on how to deal with a customer. He has since taken a verbal beat-down from said customer and is presently getting his ass chewed out by our owner because he got brought into the fold.

I sorta wish a little part of me felt a shred of remorse, but most of me is just enjoying the show.

vet friend posted pic of bot fly larvae she removed from a kitten. Also a pic of the hole it left in the back of the kitten's head. (Kitten shall survive and looked downtrodden by otherwise well)

in a possible coincidence, today I feel quite certain that deciding against pursuing the vet path was the correct choice for me.

The helping a sick animal part of being a vet sounds great, but I couldn't handle people coming in to put down their friend.

We've had to do that a few times, and honestly, there's no easy way to do it. ISU Vet school really does a good job of helping people through it, in my experience.

Sophie wasn't put down, but I will say my vet was amazing at sending cards to me after the fact. They also made a donation to plant a tree in her name, and we had been going there a very short time.

It would be incredibly hard to be a vet and have a request to put down an animal that had a treatable condition.

I have a ton of respect for rescues that will also take on those cases and give the animals a second chance and the amazing people that adopt.

My brother in law is a vet and has had pets come in to be euthanized for various stupid reasons. His dog is one, I believe my mother had two cats that he took in instead of putting down. unfortunately he can't save them all.
