The story I read in the Honolulu Star Advertiser said the kid was playing around the opening and multiple times saying he was going to go in to live with the apes and the mom just kept telling him "no you're not" and "don't do that."

Hindsight is always 20/20, but I guess I feel like at some point you've got to go over and get the kid away from where he's not supposed to be playing.

There have been several different versions of what transpired immediately before the child fell in, and there is enough discrepancy to make me unwilling to condemn one specific party at this point.

It's a sad confluence of circumstances that, in the end, resulted in the death of the gorilla to protect the child.

Meh, not thinking I'll get any EMI interference (like anyone listens to AM), only dif between res and com. Of course nothing is labeled as such till you open the package. Not thinking one ballast in a closet light that is off 95% of the time is going to be an issue.

I do think this is why it's so hard to get radio stations in a big office building. Hundreds of EMI emitting light ballasts.
