Ok. So I just switched my ISP from Centurylink to Mediacom. When the guy set up my Mediacom he did so over WiFi (logistics of my apartment). Over WiFi my NAT type was type 2. I have since hard wired my PS4. Over my LAN connection my NAT type is now type 3 while my WiFi connection is still type 2.

I don't want type 3 as it cause gameplay issues while playing multiplayer games. How do I get my wired connection to type 2, like my wireless connection, instead of type 3.

Thanks!

My sympathies on having Mediacom. I have it and it crashes nonstop. One positive if you got the cable, cyclone TV.

Listen. I've had Mediacom before and the connection consistency was questionable. But, I had Centurylink before, and I got 7Mbps down tops. With Mediacom I'm getting over 50Mbps. The difference is insane. I'll take some drops for that much of a speed increase.

Plus I've had Mediacom now for almost 3 weeks and it's never dropped (knock on wood).

It is better than it was, used to be nonstop for us. Now it's mostly around 8 am weekdays only.

So confirmed, ride was maybe bad idea. Running a fever now. What beer goes best with ibuprofen? Heineken, Summit Pale Ale or one of the Kona's varieties?
