Gunner just started a "**** you if you don't like soccer" thread. I think he's going to change some minds today.
The Boxster sporting activities delivery service (aka SADS) is again unavailable this evening.
Well, can the 15 year old borrow a car? Sure, it's not legal but she's pretty responsible and hasn't hit anything yet in the approximately dozen times I've let her drive 3 blocks or less.
She is paper trained, she'll go on a puppy pad by the door which is easy enough to clean up. I got her to go outside last night for the first time. I took her over to my bestie's house so she could chase her corgi as her corgi played fetch. She got a ton of praise and treats the second it happened, but she hasn't put two and two together yet.
This morning I got up an hour and forty-five minutes before work to take her outside. The first attempt was a half an hour, nothing. Came back in, put her in her crate for 20 minutes, took her back out for another 10...nothing. Back inside for another 5-10 minutes, back outside...nothing. Finally after an hour and a half I gave up. She peed on a pad by my front door and then ate her breakfast.
Just heard an interesting statistic from a social scientist from a study regarding weather. 4 out of 7 people could not find their home, work or child's school on a map. A slightly lower number could not find their county or name surrounding counties on the map.
We've been wondering if we could train the cats to use the toilet. It CAN be done - using a small amount of litter in a tray that fits under the seat. Eventually you remove the tray and they go straight in the bowl. Heck, they already paw the wall next to the litter boxes to "cover" their business. I'm just not sure if it would work with 4 of them and us gone all day. Maybe that will be a retirement project. Litter is freaking expensive.
The one positive (and I mean one) to my wife insisting on letting the cat outside is that he goes somewhere else and not in the box (sorry if it is in your yard).
With mapping apps, that number will likely not increase either.
I'm a nerd when it comes to maps.
Our cats never go outside once they're adopted into the home. Possums, raccoons & coyotes, too many burrs, fleas, ticks...once they're in, they're in.
I'd rather deal with a litter box than have to bomb the house due to fleas. Had to do that a few times back when we had dogs.
Sounds a bit drastic, but I guess you would know best.
I assume you only let the dogs in half of the house.
Yeah this is not surprising. Most people I talk to in Texas can't even tell you which way is N, S, E, or W, which I think is because there really aren't any straight roads oriented in a N-S, E-W grid like there are in Iowa. But with GPS telling you when to turn left or right, nobody really bothers to learn how to read a map anymore.
New thing to add to the 'make sure to teach' list.
I had a small discussion about a clock toy. One person said that we shouldn't get one since it will probably be all digital by the time she really needs to read one. First time I heard someone say 'analog clock'
The fleas and ticks are not an issue since the dogs and cats get Frontline but the countless other issues are a problem imo. I told her that it is her decision and I will never let him out. If something happens due to him being out we will only make reasonable "fixes" and he will not be replaced. Basically I just laid it all on her shoulders which may not have been the best thing for the marriage but I let my feelings be known.
Last Friday night we came home from the campfire we had at a relatives place and my MIL had apparently finished doing some daycare stuff after my wife left and not let him in. He got into some kind of fight or something because there was clumps of his hair on the deck (or it at least looked like it) but we never found any issues with him or where it came from on him. We did find a small cut on a pad Sunday night.
Children of the magenta line is a big fight in the pilot world. Well that and North up or Track up.
