While I understand the desire to want to protect your child, I just don't understand why the first reaction isn't to kennel the dog, or put the dog in a rescue. You're making it sound like if he snips again, that you're going to put the dog down. Some dogs are just not great with small children.
It is actually infuriating to me when people bring their very small children to the dog park, and then get pissed off if a dog runs by and maybe bumps into them. If it was a children's playground, the anger would be justified, but it isn't.
Weekend ramble so feel free to skip.
Velo, I would've definitely stopped by had I seen your post. We walked right by you Saturday and my hand was lonely for a beverage.
The game was a blast. Our seats weren't great, but I really miss the vibe during game day. As normal, we ended up walking around campus reminiscing. It's still one of my favorite places I've been to. It's always cool to check out the new buildings and revisit the old haunts.
I was bummed about not being able to walk through Friley (locked now I guess) but I was able to wander through Helser since the door wasn't closed. Ok, so I don't think it could be closed because it was in crappy condition. Good ol' Helser. Still smelled the same.
Of all of the odd things to be impressed about, the food service over by UDA was quite a change from my day. My options used to be A) Do you want food or B) Do you not want food. There was no sushi. There were no smoothies. I probably looked like someone that saw fire for the first time.
My daughter keeps insisting she is going to Iowa State when she gets older. All I have to do is maintain her enthusiasm for the next 9 years. I can do this.
This reminded me that I want a UDCC spicy chicken sandwich real bad.

Was watching on TV so got to see the stats on the SA. They had six and we had eight. Seemed like ours came at crucial points in sets that killed a run for us or fueled the start of one for them. Reoccurring theme unfortunately.
I have a 3 day work week and I'm trying desperately not to mentally check out already.
I think we all have. Sometimes you can focus enough that you can actually follow that one blade, at least until your eyes start to hurt.I'd be lying if I said that I've never laid in bed staring at the ceiling fan trying to follow one blade.

College Boxster was walking around Ledges State Park getting signatures on a petition to then Gov. Ray objecting to the Corps proposed operating plan for the Saylorville Reservoir.
And I end up working for the Corps for 36 years. Who would have thought.
So I went running yesterday for a competition between the law school and the med school. They said it was a five k, but it was way too short since I haven't run in a year but still beat my pr from Cross country in high school by about 2 minutes and I still had the energy to sprint at the end. And then I went running tonight with a friend. I might becoming one of those runner people.
