Yeah. I am not a big line kind of guy so I am afraid it will be hell for me that week.

When I first heard about the trip I was like "the park is still open at thanksgiving" used to our parks that close here in Iowa but I guess the permanent good weather keeps them open all year down there.

Was there 20 years or so during thanksgiving. Solid weather, had shorts on. If you can, try to do magic kingdom a few days before thanksgiving. It does get crowded.

KC, cute travel video.

Wx, if he's paying buy them when he wants you to.

BC, how did the passed out kid turn out, or other team so you don't know?

Boxster, welcome back do we get a Europe update (other than stolen kindle) :(

Other team. Not sure. Said the found him unresponsive in the showers during wrestling, so he does have a medical condition.

DH's birthday has pushed him a little. More than a little. Nothing til well past Jamaica because of Zika, but IDK after that. I'm sure you'll still beat us but we may at least be in the running at that point. Need to have a chat with people at work about my stuff - this vendor taking so damn long is f-ing everything up. We will likely hire for the position that needed to be filled in a couple weeks and after that it's just getting my stuff automated. Easier said than done. That's what they plan to have done by end of June but I'll eat my shoes if it's before September.

Cause if I'm going to have my own office sometime soon, I'd prefer to wait on any baby stuff until that point.

now to go plant the flowers I got. Also got one tomato and one pepper.

I hate to say it, but there is still some prejudice against promoting pregnant women. It's subtle, and it's not everywhere, but if the promotion is imminent, you're probably smart to wait until after it's a done deal. If they're saying "someday" on the promotion though, screw 'em.

That is not the appropriate way to get a promotion or make a baby.

my former boss actually got both of her promotions while pregnant. Actually, my current boss became my boss (which was a promotion) while pregnant last year. Our department is very good about that and is probably why our new moms don't end up leaving shortly thereafter as I've noticed with other departments. There are definitely departments where I would be more concerned about that if I were in them. The first area I worked when starting would have been one of them.
It's definitely imminent and I know exactly why things stalled so badly. Between slow vendor and finance putting a hold on the position meant to backfill me. That position is now almost hired for so that part is dealt with. I don't require that I have the promotion before anything happens, but I would greatly prefer it. I do not relish the idea of morning sickness in a three person office. Plus I would like to establish myself a little with my new role before being out for several months. So once we have decided on what is happening with the two candidates for the backfill job, I'm going to have a little chat with people. I know that future boss wants this to happen probably more than I do. They are frustrated with the holdups they've had to deal with.

I hired a pregnant girl to do taxes for me. Wasn't due until May, so I thought, what's the risk? Doctor put her on bed rest in January.

one of our office assistants was due during a very busy time and we brought in someone to temp for her. By the time regular girl was back, they turned the temp role into a real role and temp girl announced she was having twins. They got a 2nd temp to fill in for her. It actually worked out great because the 2nd temp was an older woman who just wanted part-time. Now I think she's working in another department.

And then twin temp's husband got a job back in their home area and now she's gone. It's sad, we all liked her so much.

Im positive I wouldn't want my wife working at your place. Sounds like a bunch of women getting pregnant. I have enough.
