We're just kicking back in the office, and he's been playing music off his computer. Mostly country artists, singing old-time "Sunday Go To Meeting Hymns" from my SBC past:
Standing On the Promises
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Just a Closer Walk With Thee
Amazing Grace
In the Garden
Love Lifted Me
Just As I Am
Old Rugged Cross
Sweet Bye & Bye
When We All Get To Heaven
I realized I've been quietly singing along with every single one of them (I had him go back through the play list so that I could type the titles). Familiar, comforting hymns that most young folks never hear in church any more.
Rev & Erik might be the only ones to fully appreciate this one as some of those are strongly identified with the SBC. I hope this isn't too cave-y.
