What kind of parking garage doesn't let you pay in cash? Yesterday I couldn't get out of a parking garage because I didn't have a diet card to pay the fee. So I was just sitting there for a good 5 minutes and eventually the person behind me paid the $2 fee.

So you just sat there? What were you sitting there waiting for? Them to magically start accepting cash?

Bet that impressed the prom date. At least you didn't ask her to pay.

Lady sitting next to me made me think of the guy who asked about their grandma and her selling the farm. I really think it's best to just do your best to forgive or forget at this point.

This lady had a brother who was killed by a major drug kingpin (supposedly the drug maker made such high quality that it as only been replicated in DEA labs). I then looked on the other side of the aisle and up a couple rows. There sat the mom of the drug lord. I realized that these two families are civil with each other and have been as long as I can remember. If they can keep the peace in this circumstance, then the sale of a possession is kinda small.

pants, weather cleared up a bit so we raked a bunch of gravel, got the house marker back in the ground after the landscape people took it out and never put it back in, and moved all the stone from one side of the house to the garage to sit til we're ready to put it in its new spot. Rocks and gravel are the worst.

And now it's raining so that was good timing. Def cross stitch weather for me now, DH needs to finish that mapping thing.

TIL BC goes to church in Columbia.

Just found out that a tree that mostly hangs over our house is rotting and could cost $6k to take down. May be borrowing some chain saws from my GFIL (grand father in-law) to do what we can.

$6,000?!?! How big is the tree? I know it costs more to rope branches down, but holy ****! Most we've ever charged for one tree is around $1000.

The 90s were bad in this town. Besides this guy killing 5, we had a murder/rape between 2 locals. One guy killed his ex's boyfriend and tried her but missed. There was another big crime that happened also. All in a town of 2000.

We're just kicking back in the office, and he's been playing music off his computer. Mostly country artists, singing old-time "Sunday Go To Meeting Hymns" from my SBC past:

Standing On the Promises
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Just a Closer Walk With Thee
Amazing Grace
In the Garden
Love Lifted Me
Just As I Am
Old Rugged Cross
Sweet Bye & Bye
When We All Get To Heaven

I realized I've been quietly singing along with every single one of them (I had him go back through the play list so that I could type the titles). Familiar, comforting hymns that most young folks never hear in church any more. :(

Rev & Erik might be the only ones to fully appreciate this one as some of those are strongly identified with the SBC. I hope this isn't too cave-y. :)

Know all the hymns...can sing all the choruses off the top of my head. I played a really cool arrangement of In The Garden for a solo competition. I need to find the music for that.

Can I get a CF tree removal discount? One of mine must have been struck by lightning a few years ago and about half of it is dead.

OK, back home how this'd work is you buy a bunch of beer, get the chainsaws from GFIL, Chaser comes down and "advises" from the ground while mumbling "ain't no fuggin' way I'd be getting up there" while Rabbuk and I dangle precipitously from the tree not knowing what we're doing with no personal protective equipment and only stop long enough to get another beer every half hour or so, by lunch time, either the tree'd be down, or one of us would be.
