Slow news day I guess. Lol at all the people that can't read a calendar and put their garbage out today. It's delayed a day because of Labor Day
Nothing like a breakup with a friend with many mutual friends to let you know who your true friends are (and aren't). Found at least one in each category just today.
So I just moved to a new suburb in the cities and today was trash day. Had a lot of boxes for moving and put them in with the trash (TV boxes and ceiling fans so styrofoam and stuff). Not sure which came first, guessing trash, but I got home to styrofoam scatter throughout the front yard. I placed those boxes with the trash can so I am guessing the trash guy came took the can only and left everything else. Recycling came took the cardboard and left the styrofoam free in the yard. Kind of ****** at both right now.Slow news day I guess. Lol at all the people that can't read a calendar and put their garbage out today. It's delayed a day because of Labor Day
so now the same school district that had the pipe bomb arrest last week is on lockdown because of a report of a man with a gun. ******* hell, what is going on?! Hope it's some kind of false alarm.
I just missed it on the news, do they know anything more than what's on the website?

Our trash guys won't take anything outside of the trash or recycle bins unless it has a sticker on it. I can't remember the cost of them, but I was thinking it was around $5/sticker. They still take yard waste, but it won't surprise me one bit when that stops being a free service.
Wow, our trash stickers are like a dolla fiddy up to 30 gallons. Yard waste is done by the city, not trash folks, they pick up sticks & stuff one day a month, then leaves every Monday inna fall.
I was at my grandma-in-law's place a number of years ago and they would just rake their leaves in the street and they had this big street sweeper/vacuum thingy suck em all up. I was mesmerized by that sucker.

I'll have to look into that, the association takes care of sanitation costs so I'll have to figure out what company it is.Our trash guys won't take anything outside of the trash or recycle bins unless it has a sticker on it. While we are discussing trash. I hate cities that don't have the big rolling bins for each category.
Farmington has really odd shaped trash bins. The recycling looks like your normal waste management bin, but the trash is really big at the top, like 3x3 but the bin itself is round and probably only a 2 foot diameter. While we are discussing trash.
