Progressive is going to give me $5300 for totalling it which is way more than I would get for trade in on an 11 year old car.

I don't, but let's be honest, KC, you can be a bit much at first...

Well, yeah. I've never claimed to be a shrinking violet. I'm very opinionated. :)

I was looking for something else, and came across a thread I posted grousing about everyone referring to it as a 1-11 season last year with two games left to play. The two of you were part of a huge pile-on; I took a lot of hits on that thread. The banning recommendations were probably tongue-in-cheek (except for one poster who told me I was spamming). Felt pretty damn good when my hopes for 3-9 came true. Not that I wanted that record from the start of the season...but at that point, it was better than 1-11!

I don't understand going into the season with extreme pessimism like some people. I think everyone understands the reality of the situation, but just going into a brand new season with such a debbie downer attitude ..... what a joy those people have to be around in real life.

I'm convinced that here are people, who if they won $100,000,000 in the lottery, would complain about having to drive 'all the way to Des Moines' to do the paperwork.

We got about $2k more for our car when it was totaled back in May than we would have selling or trading in.

Is there a good story behind the totaling of the car?

Sitting behind a Big Ford Bronco waiting at a stop light. Light changes and everyone starts going. Dude suddenly turns right without a signal. I tried to stop but not in time. Hit his big metal bumper and it tore right into my plastic car. Took my right headlight clean off and messed up the bumper, grill and quarter panel. 4700 in damage on a car thats worth 5000 at best before being totaled.

No way I am driving myself to De$ Moine$ for that. I'd hire someone to drive me, hell, I'm rich!
