So I was trying to help my sister get football tickets yesterday. I told her how to get set up on here and walked her through the whole process. 5 emails and 4 phone calls later, she still says she can't get it to work.

I tell her I'll post for her to help her out, but I wanted her specifics (price,section preference, etc). I get two viable offers shortly thereafter and tell my sis. Then she starts backtracking on the specs she gave me, making me look like a doosh.

I guess I needed to post something like, "Hey I want two free tickets on the 50 yard line and you have to bring them to my house wrapped with a bow."

Why is it that every year, there are numbnutz that don't believe the rules apply to them. Despite cones and barriers, despite LARGE no left turn signs, despite move-in crew telling them they can't turn there, despite the fact that they have traffic backed up all the way to Lincoln Way...they INSIST on turning left off of Beach (formerly Wallace) into the Richardson Court loop. Times like these I kinda wish I drove a tank...

I feel your pain. Son was going to be in town last winter, wanted 5 tickets for a conference game last winter, all together, for </=$50. Yeah. That didn't work.

supposed to go home and help with a tour thing tomorrow. They cancelled it this morning for something about weather. Parents not real pleased since they've (well, mostly my mom) spent the last month or so painting, cleaning, weeding, mowing, whitewashing the barn, and lots of stuff to get everything all spiffy. Plus they are doing both hay and straw and were trying to be done by tomorrow. Least all the cost for paint gets reimbursed.

I went out for a friend's birthday last night and probably had too many drinks for a Tuesday night. All aboard the struggle bus!

This is part of why I'm glad I don't have to go near there this time of year. Though I think the Z monster might get to visit on Friday.
 
As I was heading to drop off Z at her grandma's I saw this poor secondary student standing in the rain waiting for the bus. I hope he didn't miss it since it was 8:40 already. He didn't have an umbrella or anything to shield him from the rain.
 
DK's brother is going into his first semester at ISU. His car is parked at the stadium right now and we found it last night and covered the windshield and windows with sticky notes.

That may be a little soggy now.
 
we close on our lot this afternoon. I may be making DH go get the check because I don't want to be the one to take all the monies from our account.

I found a cockroach in my house this morning. That's not uncommon at all in Hawaii. They tend to pop up everywhere. But now I'm super paranoid and open every cabinet and closet door like it's a surprise attack.
 
Flying for the first time for work next month. Is DCA the airport with the landing right over the water?
