now I'm super curious who your advisor is. Baumgard?

I go to South Dakota State, I've met with Baumgard before though. Heck, I've read some of his publications (mainly the ones with info on fatty acids and lipids). Nice guy.

I have been job searching ever since graduating in May. I've applied for jobs all over the country.

I have an interview on Monday for a job in Des Moines. Never thought I would land an interview for this position. I would be on cloud nine if I landed this job. It would be a foot in the door in my line of work, and it would keep me in the central Iowa area where I want to be, having friends and family in the area.

If I land this job, the first thing I'm buying is Cyclone football season (hillside) tickets.

Good luck man! I'm in a somewhat similar but different situation. I've been out of work since moving to Hawaii in May, and am just now in the final stages of the interview process for a somewhat dream job that will pay me excellent money and give me territory on all of the islands to travel to. And I just bought University of Hawaii season football tickets. Not quite ISU. But the scenery is nice?

Best of luck to you!

Thanks man! It would be a dream come true to remain in Cyclone Country right out of college.

I always figured I would do something similar like you've done if I landed in a location where the local college football team had no ties to ISU (ie, being a conference opponent, etc.)

There is nothing like Jack Trice Stadium on a Saturday, but college football in person is still college football in person.

Heck yeah! And value it, because you never know when life will pull you away from Iowa. I got season tickets the year after I graduated (my brother did too, who had no ties to ISU other than me and was a Hawkeye fan, who has since been turned and is now a true Cyclone) and I'm so glad I did because a promotion moved me to Indiana after that. Cherish it while you're still there and know you can.

So I went to the grocery store for 2 or 3 things, ended up with a cart load of stuff and forgot 2 of the things I went for in the first place? Kccloneitis is the clinical term I believe.

And no, I will not make a list. Guys with lists in grocery stores look defeated. "Pride" and "self respect" should be on their precious list.

Oh well. I may not have bread for sandwiches tomorrow, but I remembered a six pack for tonight!

Yeah...if you have a paper list in your hand as a dude, you might as well give completely up and get the reading glasses with the chain.

However, you ever see a guy pull out his phone to check a text message in the store? How U know he isn't pulling it out to check the list that he has typed into his notes app?

Yeah, that's right...I'm changing lives here.

When I do that I'm checking the list my wife texted me.

I initially read this as "reading glasses with the chin, and it actually kind of makes sense if you picture someone with the reading glasses way down toward the tip of the nose, where they have to tip their head back to actually use the glasses, thus sticking their chin out.

that green carpet in my old bedroom is probably 40 years old or better. But my mom didn't waste any time changing out the orange and yellow dining room carpet. I see where her priorities lie. Oh that reminds me, I need her to measure that bedroom to find out if I was a deprived child.

My grandparents got seriously ****** when we tore out that 30 year old carpet and 70's curtains. Like yelling in my 12 year old face mad. Cray-cray.

They probably really disliked it when we burned it. Muahahaha.

You had YOUR OWN bedroom?!?! With CARPET!!! No, you were not a deprived child.
