and guys (and gals), I think we're going to build a house.

Which means we have to buy the lot we want within the next 10 days possibly. Eeek.

At work, I will go back to where the students are, and just say "I need to borrow your height (or muscles) for a couple of minutes". We just about always have at least one tall guy back there. Right now, one of the kids is at least 6'6"...and he is a absolute sweetheart about helping me out whenever I need it.

I bet you bring him pie:yes:

also, the builder offered me highlighters for my list of questions today because "you seem like someone who needs highlighters close by".

How does he know me so well?

you know you want to see my Friday night polls about Bamboo flooring vs. carpet.

P.S., his carpet is the best. We went through 30 Parade homes, and his is still the best. I would sleep on it.

1. You should REALLY work on your phrasing here.

2. It kind of feels like you've been building a house for about three years now already.

And always choose hardwood over carpet. Always.

See. Phrasing.

carpet is cheaper though. And the carpet in his homes (better?) is super duper nice. Wood floors in the main rooms though.

Cheaper short term. How many times are you going to have to change it out? Or how much are you going to spend over the years to have it cleaned?

just in bedrooms so hopefully not often. My parents have had carpet in the living room (high traffic area) for 10 years now. The carpet in my old bedroom is about 198734973 years old. He told us all about twist and how it should last many a moon. I saw the carpet and the twist. Much nicer than our apartment stuff. When it is in his benefit to try and sell us on the hardwood. I would maybe change it after children pass the falling on the floor and getting a concussion age.

My parents never had our bedroom carpet cleaned. Should I be dead right now? They used to clean it at the rental.

I wouldn't say you should be dead. But definitely infested.

that green carpet in my old bedroom is probably 40 years old or better. But my mom didn't waste any time changing out the orange and yellow dining room carpet. I see where her priorities lie. Oh that reminds me, I need her to measure that bedroom to find out if I was a deprived child.

My grandparents got seriously ****** when we tore out that 30 year old carpet and 70's curtains. Like yelling in my 12 year old face mad. Cray-cray.

They probably really disliked it when we burned it. Muahahaha.
