Better start browsing laptops online today. Might as well bite the bullet and just buy another. My current laptop is a 17" but being that it is always plugged into the TV there isn't any reason to get another one with a screen that large. Most likely just a 15"

Not exactly sure.

I have heard that sometimes it can be just too big.

Merry Christmas marching band peeps. Just did my last minute end of the year donations and saw "Marching Band" on the list of thingies you could direct donations to, so added that and minus'd athletics some. I know and like a lot of band alumni, I don't know any athletes so makes sense to me.

As a band alum and a potential band parent in a couple years, thank you! :) Although thanks to generous donors like you the band gets to do things we never got to do/have like new uniforms, bowl swag, and a day at Disney. Not jealous at all.

Also, the Cybirdy parents will be at the Hyatt. They flew out this morning.

FML. My flight leaves in 25 minutes and I am home too sick to fly. Don't think I'd have even made it through the security line let alone on the plane itself. Was packed and it was time to Uber and just knew, nope, I can't do this with the hope I'll miraculously feel better by flight time. :(

That's worse than my flight to San Antonio being cancelled the day before the game last year. Hard to believe it's been a year already.

Only disliked because I felt so bad for you. Hopefully the Cyclones will make up for this by burying the Irish.

Hope you feel at least a little better by game time!

Was cruising through @GTO's horror movie thread. I started watching horror with the old Universal standards, Dracula, Frankenstein, et al. Have loved horror movies ever since. Reading through that thread there were some comments about Lovecraft, and it occurred to me that if were ever to change my handle on here, it would be Cthulhu.

And the weirdest thing about THAT is that when I typed it in, it didn't underline in red!

Might get my airline miles credited back. Rules say you eat them but reservation agent put in a request for me to get them refunded. Might only end up eating the hotel bill at the Hyatt so it might not be a 100% loss as I thought earlier. Still a bummer but que sera, sera, not anything really under my control at this point.

Are you by chance a Hilton Honors member. They are pretty forgiving as I was going to St. Louis this year and boss’s mom suddenly passed away. They cancelled my stay with no issues. Dang Norovirus has been bad around this area. Hope you get to feeling better.

Must be the holiday spirit. Both he Delta reservations gal and the Hyatt reservations gal waived the no refund clauses. That really reduces the suck factor of this last minute cancellation. I knew i wasn't fit to fly when I was willing to eat a couple grand of travel costs. And, of course, not feeling that awful here late afternoon but who knows if that is real or just fake short-term.

And call for a doctor appt and find my doc is deployed till April. Air Force reserve or guard guy, damn he's been gone a lot over the last ten years. Jeez, I'd swear some of these guys have more total time overseas than my dad did in WWII.
