Yeah. I put mine on hold while MrsWx goes back to school. That being said I don't know if I will go back. I have had some career discussions where it came up and basically the consensus was you don't need it now or even one level above where I am but above that I would. I don't know if I want that high due to time commitment and all the other crap that goes with being a director.

ok, I couldn't remember if you had paused or not. It sounds like I would basically need one for next level - which I am definitely interested in moving to. My manager has been encouraging in that they did a master's with young kids 25 years ago..............but they also had a spouse working different hours not quite full-time. DH is definitely full time and we're probably 5-8 years from where manager was in kid age. They were past baby but before school activities. The other thing is it seems they generally take 2-3 years, plus application timeline so probably 3/4 years before I'd be done if I started now. Nothing is ever certain, but if we decided to have another child.......how in the hell does that work.

I did my exams while Z was still extra tiny. She'd often sit with me while I did my reading, and took one of my exams with me, at least part of it.

A Master's would be pretty easy, I think. You don't have to race through it. A course or two at a time would be easily manageable.

most look like 6 credits a semester so yeah, basically 2 classes. Though I'm trying to be extra lazy and only look at fully online (short residencies are fine) and non-GRE/GMAT ones. Which then I'm like well are these just trash programs then.

6 grad credits is roughly 14 undergrad credits, but it's still not that difficult.

6 grad credits is roughly 14 undergrad credits, but it's still not that difficult.

I did my masters while working at ISU in a 3/4 time position. Started with a one-credit workshop in the summer, then just continued. It took me 3.5 years, the first two of which I lived ~80 miles from Ames (yep, I drove 150+ miles four days a week to/from work.) Three semesters I did two classes - 6 credits. Granted, toward the end some of the credits were independent study or whatever it's called to work on my creative component, but the "real" courses definitely took time. I was very fortunate to have some P&S tuition reimbursement and my director paid the tuition for what wasn't covered by the P&S grant. Still, it is a lot of work and you need to be ready for that.
Oh, yes, my baby was an ISU undergraduate during that time. So no taking care of little one for me. Whew. Definitely glad I did it though.

I would be shocked if your application took more than a month. Most schools wave the entrance exams for working professionals with a good background and undergrad GPA. Basically they know your company is paying for it and clear the way to make money.

Shop around to a few different schools. I think it is becoming more common for them to allow a mix of online and in person which is nice. I do have a coworker that did hers 100% online with a 2 year old and finished while prego with twins. She is something else though...

What has changed with how images like these show here? I haven't been able to see one for a long time. I disabled ghostery and what can I see today?

Weird. When I upload directly from confuser I have to edit first since CF hates anything bigger than a gnat. My fast work around is to copy direct from Google photo since people some people could see linked images from Google or Amazon photo. So, experiment time!

Direct copy/past from Google, Example A:

interesting, I may have to send more info because a couple have had good looking programs but require the exams so I skip without requesting more.

Also assuming I'm paying for this on my own as of now but that is something I haven't pursued discussing just yet.

My personal opinion is if they want it they pay for it.

What I do with pictures taken with my phone is text them to myself because it compresses it, then I can download the texted copy and then upload it to CF
